| Oh, is that so? I hadn't imagined for a second you would have such ulterior motives... |

| NO I AM A LEADER OF NANOLONDON AND AS SUCH AM ABOVE SUCH THINGS MY INTEGRITY IS UNIMPEACHABLE AHAHAHAHA It hopefully goes without saying that I was mostly joking (subconscious hint of truth no doubt) and would have helped her regardless. Anyway turns out she's already played ACDM, enjoyed it but liked it less because of the lack of snark. Given which, I might actually recommend CCCI. |

| Is that any good as I've never heard of it but I do like Suda 51s games and recently seen Silver Case is coming to PS4. |

| I never finished it despite getting very far through it, but yes it is good. Very difficult in parts as I remember it, but fun and definitely very Suda |

| You may remember that I got Kirby's Epic Yarn and Kirby's Adventure Wii for my nephews, 6 abd 3? No? Well, I'm going to talk about it anyway. A couple of days ago my father-in-law told me that they loved the games. Yes! Maybe Balla should recommend Planet Robobot to his friend? |

| Kirby was always designed as an entry level platformers, so that makes sense. |

| Last night I was playing Wario's Woods and doing quite well on one of the later levels. They're hard, even with save states to support progress. Jo asked me a question, so I paused and turned to reply. Gus cat got involved by sitting on the GamePad and... the upshot is that I lost my progress. "It's alright," I said, in a voice that indicated it wasn't.
So I've got two questions. How do you cope with interruptions - can you get in and out of the zone easily? And, how do you cope with losing progress? |

| In and out of the zone, yes - I think my job has helped with that. Losing progress, no - I'm paranoid that I don't have time to repeat anything in this day and age! |

| I know Jas gave up on Bioshock which is one Drunkas and my favourite games but due loss of a save, Jas didn't go back.
I don't know far he was in but it could be annoying, if a good few hours in. |

| Never have coped well with interruptions - the amount of yelling I used to do at my parents when they'd walk in front of the TV! But I reckon I've improved, which is good because I'm not so good at hyperfocus as I used to be. Losing progress: I throw an absolute barney, and (depending on how much) may not go back to the game for years. Dream Team Bros. remains unfinished because I had the machine stolen (and because the game wasn't great). How much progress did you lose, Zero? |

| Just one level, which I made back the next day. I'm at the stage of Wario's Woods where every level I crack means instant save. It's rare to find a game that is hard, even with save states. WW is one such - Mysterious Murasame Castle is another. As for myself, progress loss frustrates me, but I've started to have the approach that I can always make it back. Interruptions are mostly by cats and happen randomly, singly, and at a known mean rate (maths joke!). I'm getting a great deal of practice but it still rankles. |

| This reminds me of the classic line parents say:
"Well, if you like the game, won't it be fun to play it again?"

| Really? I never had that. I think my parents knew early on how bored I got/get with repetition. |

| It was mostly my mum, who has never ever played games and I guess never really got that they're not just pacman score attacks any more. |

| Ha! Cut to 2016, and I'm a grown up now, and don't have time to replay anything even though I'd like to. Whereas my mum wants to know when Ninja Theory and Naughty Dog are going to release their next game, because she whizzed through all of the Uncharteds, and wants a sequel to Enslaved. I wish I had kids, but they'd probably hang around with Grandma as Dad's too much of a filthy casual gamer. |

| My nan is actually way more of a gamer than my mum. She used to play a lot of Sonic, and she's big into her puzzle games and that. |

| I've had some major progress loss this weekend. I was out the other night for a few scoops, went for a slash, got my phone out to answer a WhatsApp midstream and I wound up launching my mobile down a pishy toilet. That's annoying as it is, but while I was trying to dry it off and salvage the handset I lost my SD card. That had all of my save data for stuff like WWE Supercard, Game Dev Story and - worst of all - Pokémon Go.
Gutted. Its all away. I'm not handling it well. |

| Ah, man, that sucks! It's one of those things that people are paranoid about but don't actually expect to happen. Is there any chance any of the saved data is tied to an account or anything? |

| Can't speak for the others, Supercard maybe, Game Dev most likely not but Pokemon Go saves to the server so can carry on upon signing in, I had the same worry after leaving my last phone in Ghana but all is good. |

| I'm fairly sure both WWE Supercard and Pokémon Go! have their saves tied to an account, so you might be alright there Cappa. Still sucks to hear! |

| Not sure if this is the best place for it, but - I do miss adventures not having to be so miserable and apocalyptic. Therefore I am super hyped for Knights and Bikes. |
