| I got this on wii U VC over Christmas & it works absolutely brilliantly with a wii remote, and all the great memories came flooding back where my brothers (& me) would put a hand in the way so the players shots would miss & when that'd happen they's usually go right up to the telly and shoot from point blank range. Here's a small piece on how the zapper worked: http://www.todayifoundout.com/index.php/2010/12/how-the-gun-on-the-original-duck-hunt-game-worked/ & Here's the best use of a game in a film ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5wI8gb8yDZw I hope to see you share your thoughts/stories about the game below. |

| I had no idea this was on VC! I was more a fan of that iconic Zapper as a kid than the actual game. If they'd managed to flesh it out a little further in some way, I'd have likely warmed to it a bit more. I can clearly recall the music and the soundbytes for this game, though. Particularly the dog's bark as it dashes into the tall grass. |

| I know it's on the VC and yet keep forgetting about it when I turn the Wii U on |

| My first NES experience was a session playing/watching this and Super Mario Bros. next door. I've got the VC version of the game and remain astonished that more lightgun titles haven't been released for the service. Anyway, I had a quick bash and enjoyed it, though I'm not brave enough to take the crosshairs away yet! |

| Dunno if it was my own cackhandedness, but I always found the collision detection to be a bit inconsistent in Duck Hunt. I will forever remember seeing it running for the first time with my own eyes, though. Round at a friend's who was lucky enough to get a NES for Christmas one year.
Oddly (at the time, I thought), he was given the choice between a NES and a SNES and he plumped for the former. I think I understand that decision now. |

I mentioned this on twitter over the holidays as well but the dogs laugh still riles me up/forces me to do better when I miss a duck, the clay pigeon shooting mode is still ace as well. |

| You could've been an ulnucky early adopter and been lumbered with the solus Duck Hunt cartridge: This may or may not have been in the deluxe Rob the Robot set. I can't remember. |

| Do we really need Super Mario Bros for the millionth time though? I don't think we do. |

| Super Mario Bros. is popular? Which rock have I been hiding under all these years?
It's a damn shame that Duck Hunt doesn't work on modern tellies. |

| I hadn't even thought of that until you brought it up, I suppose that's a plus for the VC version then. |
