Ah, I see your point now. I suppose there could be an argument made for the Rare SM64-likes, and I've a real soft spot for Jak and Daxter, but that's my rose-tinted glasses firmly in place there. |

| I don't know jack about Jak, but B-K, at least, has a decent claim - which is why I made the era comment. Covering all bases, me! Also, I completely forgot to write about the Pokémon Stadia. |

It's very much a platformer in the same style as SM64 and Banjo - collecting power cells (stars) dotted about the level, which you can collect in any order and you unlock subsequent areas the more power cells you collect. It's got a great sense of humour in regards to its story, and the very tight platforming makes traversing each area a treat. But, this is probably me waxing lyrical through rose-tinted glasses - I've beat it umpteen times and it's definitely my favourite platformer. SM64 paved the way for so many of these games, and it has to be credited for that. |

| Enjoyable read, Balls man! Everyone knows I'm all about the Galaxy games, but I would love to see another more exploratory Mario game. Yoshi and Starfox can't really be argued, though Assault is better than people say. I don't care about battle mode, so I'll ignore Mario Kart and that just leaves Majora's, which I've not played. I will say that, though I loved both Wii Zeldas with a passion, the over worlds lacked juicy sidequests. With Zelda U being huge and Nintendo being Nintendo, I really hope it is absolutely full of life. |

| Thanks Drunka! I'm just going on what the people say for Assault, since I've never played it. And yes, TP is my favourite Zelda ever, but it could definitely do with some more side-stories. |

| I still reckon Adventures is a good game and it would be remembered more fondly if it was called dinosaur planet then starfox.
Here's a link to the Indie Week thread which in turn has link to a interview that just went up on the site about a game which Drunka might like |

| I've never played Adventure either. Basing it all on popular perception. I have played Command, though, and it was tripe. |

| I think the problem with it is the name a bit like SMTxFE at the moment and as it's not what people wanted, so they say it's rubbish.
I know Andy likes Adventures also and I reckon the reason why is because he didn't play Star Fox 64, so didn't think it should be like that when going into Adventures. |

| I played all of the Star Fox games and I really liked Star Fox Adventures at the time. It was a very decent adventure game. If you expect something else, and importantly, want something else, of course you won't like it. It really depends on your tastes like everything.
Perhaps I should dig it out, play it and review it for you lot? |

| I'd like to see that, OS. I certainly remember NGC reviewing it as a disappointing Zelda-like, with unimaginative puzzles, enemies that attacked one at a time, and Prince Tricky, without making too much reference to its foxy origins. An alternative viewpoint would be welcomed. |

| Do it OS and like a tagline we had a while back were independent so do what you like (with in reason) , I'm very interested to see more retro reviews as they can be reviewed in so many ways as do you look at the game compared to other games of that era, how it holds up etc.
I am surprised Stu hasn't done any as he plays a lot of retro and I would like to see maybe some more obscure / niche / under-rated games from maybe the last gen as so far it's been bigger titles like Bioshock from Drunka but why not review Enslaved for instance Drunka.
As it's different, if you go on any site even other fan run sites it's always current stuff, hence why codes I try to get are for smaller stuff as well to make us different & special. |

| I will get on it. I am unemployed, what else do i have to do? Seriously though, I am really busy and applying for jobs properly is actually very time consuming. I will get on it though. |

| Hoping not to spoil things too much by declaring a love of Chuckie Egg too - the first platform game I really tried to master. Very hard in places, but lots of fun. I'd say that I hadn't heard of at least half of the others, though... |

| A good read of some vintage gaming but like Balla I'm not going to play as there just to old for me and I've owned Spectrums & Commodore's but there such a pain and very little holds up.
I hope you do more things Jimbob, I don't know if you got any more retrospectives or like I said to OldSchool & thought Sru might be good at retro reviews. |

| Good read Jimbob. The only games on that list I've played are Elite and Chucky Egg but I did thoroughly enjoy both. So there's that. |

| Did a little piece about Mario Kart 8 and F-Zero.
Excellent read, Jimbob. I'm with the others though; would not want to play any of them but they are interesting nonetheless!
Have been a bit inactive as late, but hoping to submit more as thoughts enter my head (which is rare). |

| Read and Drunkas review of Goat Simulator which I thought he would love as it's meant to be a joke / satire and is even described on its own site as "a small, broken and stupid game," but clearly not. |

| Two brilliant articles, gents! Both made me smile, which is what I like the most about this site. I can get my deadpan news and features anywhere: only on Gintendo can I get this NGamer-esque level of BANTAH. I'd still like to see a new F-Zero though, Grant, although your idea of using the franchise for a Metroidvania is a good one. And I cared about Octoman godsdamnit! |

| Aw, thanks guys. I agree with all the last points:
1) You probably shouldn't actually play any BBC Micro games (EXCEPT REPTON HA HA HA HELLO SUPERIOR INTERACTIVE OVERLORDS HA HA HA) 2) Mr. Jones is correct - Mario Kart 8 has now made F-Zero redundant with its current variety 3) Yes Drunka, Goat Simulator is funny for precisely 6 seconds. |
