Oh snap they used the Barbarian cover! I was going to link to that instead of Bonecruncher at one point. Bonus fact: the dude in that? Wolf from the Gladiators. |

I do like that until you see the cart on cart action in the corner, clutters it up a bit. - Stu_the_great wrote:
- @Smurfy: I actually don't mind the Genesis Sonic boxart, though maybe that's nostalgia: you got said artwork on the posters that came with the European games inside the box. And the only real thing I dislike about Sonic 3's box is the horrid rebranding they did with the colours and the Mega Drive logo by the time that game came out.
It's not the worst I'll admit, the PAL box art is just s much better to me. |

I agree. It's one of the game boxes of my childhood. Like this one: Even though the game's shit. |

| That last one got me giggling. An old favourite: It's Mario and he has wings! What more do you want? Never mind the plasticine enemies. Oh, and I always found the words on this one peculiar. Like a song lyric without a song: |

| I have never noticed the words around the circle on the Sunshine box art before. Weird. |

| Sunshine had one of my favourite spines as well, that's perhaps the best thing about Gamecube game cases. |

The US GameCube case spines were much cooler than the PAL ones, but I can't deny we had some gems. That Phalanx boxart: What the bloody hell? |

| From Wikipedia: "The box art designers later admitted that they had deliberately chosen this theme in order to attract the customer with something original, considering there were many space shooters in the market that looked alike.[citation needed] The Game Boy Advance release redesigned the cover in favor of a prominent spaceship image." |

Of all the choices, though. |

| I have one Japanese GameCube game, and to be honest I'm not keen on those little cardboard sleeves they come in. I do like the Four Swords artwork, though. More great artwork: Was never a fan of the original's gold box, and this one shows it up even more. |

| Zelda box-art always seemed quite dull to me, considering what the games actually were. |

| What's with the coat-of-arms on the box? "Here are some items you will pick up, get hyped for that folks!" |

I always thought that cart looked naff to the max. It says something when you prefer the standard grey ones. |

| But the box has a hole in it! I guess it is a bit dull, and actually I do like the style of the NES' prior games, with the brand-matched designs, but... the NEW Zelda game boxes will always have a big place in my heart. "Look... gold. And we don't need to show you what the game's like. That's how good it is. " |

| What jolly boxart this is: It's just a shame that everything but the dungeon design is a steaming dog egg. |
