In general, the Rhythm Paradise games seem to be poorer than the others. Just me?

Yeah (3.5 months late response), I get the hand sweats on Glee Club. On the other hand, my inverse snobbery takes delight in, when being told to hold A to shut my yap, not doing so for a bit, and enjoying the look on the other guys' faces. And then pressing A to close it... and immediately open it again - then tapping away... MWAHAHAHAHAAH!
