I saw some immigrants struggling to swim ashore. Some beachgoers ran out and helped them in. It made me sick.

A filter on which children get sent where. I don't want mine mixing with the wrong sort...

I'm not a fan of this. Women should know their place.

Make the approx distance a pokkerman is from the user actually function properly.

The Doom guy, so I could watch all the nerds cry.

I've only played one Metroid game, a DS one. I didn't think it was very good, which is probably more to do with it being a DS game. Shrug.

What I will say about May and Brexit though is that while she was pro-remain, she was nevertheless a senior member of a party which has perpetuated nothing but immigration misinformation, blaming Britain's problems on the poorest and most vulnerable, rather than those with actual power. They only have themselves to blame for the rise of Ukip's brand of populism.

No Man's Sky is the most obvious choice for me as it's so fresh in my mind - I traded that in this week, actually - but besides that I can't really think of a time I was swept in the hype wave. I feel I contributed to some people being slightly disappointed with Undertale. It's still one of my favourite games from last year, but I don't consider it as one of my favourite games of all time any longer. Time has dulled my opinion of it, that's for sure!

I remember a piece of exam table graffiti vividly - it was a pessimistic cry of "oh god, I've failed, I've wasted YEARS of my life" and just below that, the bemusing "mcfly r a bit gay".

Marty and Doc arriving in the future Hill Valley as that'll mean we'll have our hoverboards by then. What do you mean, "they've already been, it was last year?" Then where are our hoverboards? Don't you walk away from me! WHERE ARE THEY?

I'm struggling to think of an answer for this, but I've been pleasantly surprised by Fear the Walking Dead recently. It's a bit of a stretch to call it "the best spin-off ever", but unlike most spin-offs, I was glad to see it can stand on its own two feet without relying on cameos from the main The Walking Dead cast.

Football, but with a Mario Strikers Charged ruleset. Watch in awe as the intrepid German striker front flips, teleports behind the Spanish goalkeeper with the ball and scores. Scream in horror after the Italian captain rockets into the air, fires six flaming balls at goal and as a result dismembers the Swedish goalkeeper whilst scoring six goals.

Airship - the moment in an RPG where you get an airship and can fully traverse the world at your leisure is second to none.

'Ruined' is a bit harsh: the guys whose opinions I value the most are usually bang on the money. That said there are inevitably a few examples, the most recent of which is Bravely Second. It's a very good game - maybe even a great game - but it got a lot of hype on this forum and inflated my expectations.

The most memorable tale was my final exam in education (by this I am discounting my driving theory test). I'd been ill with the diarrhoea (sp?!) all day. I finished the final question a minute after the 'fifteen-minutes-before-the-end, so you can't leave the exam hall until the proper end now' warning and spent agonising seconds sitting there with the cold sweats. Never has this man run so fast.

Ruined is a strong word, as I loved the game to bits, but I think Dark Souls III suffered for being the first of the series I picked up and played through right there at launch, with my love for the series burning strong. It could never live up to its forebears.

Myself and Muss sitting two tables apart. I had a massive gallon bottle of water and a number of straws, which I combined to make one long one; at first, long enough for me to drink from the floor, then later even longer so it could reach to Muss.
We basically just arsed around for the entirety of GCSE study leave. It was glorious.

Today, 1/9/2016, is the day Harry Potter's son starts at Hogwarts. I'm looking forward to the equivalent date for the filmic version of the characters, in the hopes they'll refilm the ending and make my middle-aged self die of nostalgia.
