| I don't know, I think it's more a case of a first and last, and then a middle two. Most people I guess start and end with the elephant and the camel. |

| The elephant and bird feel like the "first two", and it's really easy to happen upon the start of the elephant section just through exploring.
Mind you, my order was elephant, camel, bird, and then lizard so I was all over the place! |

| Snap! Bird feels easier than elephant, as I said before, but I did elephant first because the game practically shoves it down your throat. I've got nothing against giving us the option, but feel that the game putting the options where it did is a (very minor) flaw. |

| I very deliberately didn't do the elephant first because it felt like the game wanted me to. |

Same! Plus I was way more interested in just exploring the world at that point & when I had the Zora's going: "You should head this way" it only made me want to go as far west as possible which is why I ended up defeating the Camel first. |

| I think the game's really keen to make you do the elephant because Sidon is such a cool guy, why wouldn't you help him first? He's super grateful*.
*I'm not sure how grateful he'd be if he saw all the...'art'...*shudders* |

| I didn't feel funneled towards the elephant, hence me ending up at the camel, I just wanted to go to the easiest one to get to, which seemed to be the desert. Mega regrets as I suffered from the most irritating rotation method & boss. |

| ...I've left the shoddiest pre-dungeon bit until last haven't I. Three of the most epic battles in gaming... and then a stealth mission with a moron. Cripes. |

| Yeah, never mind - it's not the worst stealth escort mission ever to appear on a Nintendo console, but it ain't wonderful.
I'm coming towards the end times myself - done all 4 big animals, and am exploring around the middle bit, before mopping up all the sidequests I've not crossed off yet. I've heard other people day "yeah, by the end the guardians are no problem". Uh, what? Nope.
Really sad thing: before taking on Calamity Jane, I plan to go on a big ol' horsey ride round the roads of Hyrule. |

| I preferred the Mt Doom stealth bit to the bloody Yiga stealth bit. It was easy enough to tell him to wait then use my Magneto powers to smash up all the robots. |

| True, true. It wasn't as bad as I thought it'd be. Still the worst Divine Beast preamble though. And now, having beaten Squatty the Squashed Boss Thing, I'm at the same point Jimbob is. Going to track down all 120 shrines first though with the help of a walkthrough! - Jimbob wrote:

Two words: Ancient Shield. |

Two words: Ancient Shield. An alternate two words: Git gud. All about dem parries, or getting in close and cutting all the legs off. |

| Hey, as long as you're enjoying yourself (cough cough) there's no wrong way to play! And I still haven't mastered the parry. Dodge yes, parry no. |

| There is the shrine sensor as well even if it isn't the best at telling you where you should be looking & on the guardians parrying or the leg chopping method is usually a last resort for me if I don't have ancient arrows. |

| I used a lot of ancient arrows for a bit but it felt silly: I was using guardian parts to kill guardians to get more guardian parts, so now the arrows are my last resort if I mess up a more skillful kill. |

| Good point but I never felt the need to farm guardian parts for the arrows, in fact I only stocked up when I decided to tackle Hyrule castle properly. |

At this stage, my impatience is kicking in somewhat. I don't want to have to go all over Hyrule, gorgeous though it is, to get the sensor beeping. Although of course if I find any further shrines on my own I'll still feel chuffed, and I've come across three while making my way to one I spotted on a map! (Bloody Thundra trial thing, broke two of my weapons knocking spheres around...) |

| I've become a bit of a walkthrough whore over the years recently where any little thing that frustrated me I just looked up the solution so I could carry on. Breath of the Wild is different though, I'm determined not to because every time I find the solution it makes me appreciate the game more because it's always genius. Just recently I marked a Shrine Quest that mentions a "cold shadow" which doesn't seem to be solved by any of my initial ideas but then I thought, just put it on the backburner and try again because it'll no doubt become apparent later on rather than give up and get annoyed.
We'll see if I stick to that but I'm hoping I will. |

| If that's the one I'm thinking of Smurf, I had to use a walkthrough for that one. I got to 100 shrines guideless which I was chuffed enough with before I busted out the shrine map. One thing is for sure though - when I go back for the Korok Seeds, the map will be out and about as soon as I load up the game. |

| Okay gents, has anyone had any success with engineering a blood moon? Not getting one through the run of play, but actually seeking one out? Have let several days pass in-game with no luck. I'm wondering whether I need to kill more enemies, that's one some people seem to be saying. |
