| It honestly seems completely random to me as I spent an absolute age using bonfires to change the days trying to activate that shrine quest near Tabantha region, still need to use a blood moon to get a ancient axe+ as well. |

| Never mind, I killed some more chaps, then headed up to the shrine-appearance area and it triggered all by itself. It does seem to rely on chaps killed. That makes 119 shrines done, 11 memories got, and most of the armour acquired and improved two levels. Hyrule Castle time! |

| Definitely. Get. All. The. Memories. (and complete the quest they pertain to, 'natch) |

Yeah, I reckon that's true - I went on a Bokoblin-killing spree and had two in one playthrough. |

If that's the shrine I'm thinking about, then it was a bloody pain and half to clear. It took ages to have a blood moon pop up. Seconding Drunka's "get all the memories" mention - it's worth it. In fact, if you leave that whole questline as the absolute last thing you do before storming Hyrule Castle, it'll be absolutely worth it. It's almost like it's been set up that way, I'll say that much. |

| Don't worry gents, there's no way I'm not getting all the memories! - I have now got...:
...all the shrines. And I really want to go into battle with the full 'of the Wild' ensemble, but it's so pitifully weak and the dragons are a pain in the jacksie to mine. A shame.

| I did the final boss in the "canon" costume. It wasn't particularly strong or anything but if you've got all the beasts, all the shrines, the master sword, some fairies . . . it's not an issue.
EDIT: Also, lots of details about the DLC dropped, particularly the first one. |

The hard mode is sounding great, the real Breath of the Wild starts here. |

| Glad someone's liking the look of it! - Spoilered for negativity in a thread that shouldn't see it:
I thought it looked bobbins. Since it's paid content, I hoped (not hard granted) for something a bit extra. Some revamping of shrines, maybe, or new foes (or even foe types). I've heard nowt about those, the sky planks being the only difference worth noting it would seem. I'll be saving my cash for the story DLC.
I am quite tempted to replay all the memories with the voices set to Russian though. |

| I like the sound of the Master Sword Trial. It's basically an extended version of Eventide Island and that sounds absolutely cracking! |

| Right. I've stopped just outside Ganon's room. I'm ready for this. And I'm going to give it a go in the green costume.
Tomorrow. It all ends. And I'm not quite sure I'll know what to do with my life after... |

| Like Drunka, I finished the game in the blue hero's tunic. It just felt right to me. |

Yup that's exactly what I thought of as well, I like how vague they are being too with location details of the new stuff.

| That Korok mask makes me glad I haven't already tried to track them down!
By the way, should we be spoilering announced DLC stuff? I don't feel we should, but I'm happy to be told otherwise. |

| Nope, public announcement from Nintendo themselves, so it counts as news more than anything. Had it been leaked, then that would warrant spoilering, but as it's not... chat away! |

| *obligatory shut up and take my money post*
I know I'm getting towards the end - I'm missing 3 shrines and 3 memories - however, I made a quick "to do" list of stuff I haven't done, and it's about 20 long. It looks like I'm a few weeks away still. I've reccied out the castle now, though. |

| - The ending...:
It's quite quiet and personal, isn't it? Big change from the bombast of, say, OoT's or TP's. Neither better nor worse, it's just... different.

I liked the ending - FOR THE GAME IS DONE - As far as I know, all I haven't done is:
- Get all the Koroks
- Upgrade the clothes that involve torturing the big dragons
which I'm saving for the DLC. I can finally watch all of the secret / easter egg things, and read all of the opinions and reviews and what-not. The trouble is I've got to go and play something else now, which will be Bloodborne, and I know that's supposed to be great and all, but *sigh* nothing's going to be the same for a bit. |

| I had to take a moment after finishing BotW and play some smaller titles before I jumped into Persona 5. BotW is the sort of game that needs a palate cleanser to avoid it marring the experience of your next game - it's that good. |

| I feel like I'm still in that phase. Mass Effect Andromeda and Dark Souls III: The Ringed City both seriously suffered for following Zelda for me. |

| Fortunately MK8D has been something so completely different (and also mind-blowingly good) that it's been the palate-cleanser I needed. Agreed with Jay though, you definitely need one. |
