I'd just like to see more variety then just a few games and if you don't want to write much on a game but still want to take part, putting up just a Top 10 might be better for some.

Sorry mas but I like Cappa's idea as well as it should create way more discussion than a top 10 list ever will & that's with me who finds it quite hard to get my opinions down in writing with any real depth or coherence.

Also it did make me think that maybe mine wouldn't have to be all writing as I could somehow involve my drawing into the mix somehow.

If that's what people want, I'd just like to have seen more than maybe 10 games talked about for a system that's 8 years old and has thousands of games on it.

For what it's worth I'd prefer a vote as I hate both reading and writing long posts, but it's quite obvious I'm in the minority there

Yeah the GameCube style is what I'd do as what game would you highlight each week out of the thousands

But what does everyone else want to do? That's the question.

That's a solid template for this 3DS thread idea - it'd rely on folk not taking the piss and jumping in early with their write-up of whatever game they want to highlight in order for a proper chat to be had about each game, but I'm sure we can manage that. And a thread like that could have legs with people returning to it whenever chat dies down to highlight one of their top 3DS games.

A top 10/vote thread wouldn't generate the same level of discussion, I reckon.

Based on the forum vote we've got 10 active members, what if a member a week highlights 2 or 3 games to get a wider selection of games then a week later someone else goes, much like that Mario Kart thread but just with more games and weeks.

All of that sounds good, except that there's no need to be talking about two or three games at once. Be best if we were all on the same one topic.

So we going to start with yourself Cappa, then Jay then Balla then Me then back around to you Cappa to get a variety of games more than one per person till people have had enough basically.

I think it'll work best if it's off the cuff - like there's no real need to have a rota as such and put pressure on people to keep the thread going.

Yeah, like one of our forum games but the game is just someone writes a review and when the discussion dries up, we move onto the next review.

Can't say I'm not massively disappointed about not doing a traditional vote as I did really want to do one. I hope Cappa's Idea works out and is something that does celebrate 8 years of 3DS and doesn't peter out like the forum games and more than a handful of 3DS games are talked about.

well if this doesn't spongle your dongle you can always do a vote for 9 or 10 years.

Wouldn't be surprised if Nintendo are still putting out games in 10 years for it.

Yeah for it's 3rd anniversary but nothing since then, why I thought now seeing the system is now 8 years old and basically done it could have one last hurrah like DS, Wii and WiiU before it.

And it can, just in a different way. It would rely on folk contributing though, but that's the case with anything on here.

Hopefully they will and we can get a lot of games talked about, I know what my number 1 3DS game is but I'd like to see the weird eShop games like Weapon Shop and the library of odd retail games such as Rhythm Thief get brought up by fans of those sort of things.

Did anybody actually like Rhythm Thief in the end?

I mean, I own it... unplayed though, natch.

Maybe a thread like this will force me to get the 3DS out and bash through some of my 3DS backlog.

I didn't love Rhythm Thief, but I'd be tempted to go back to it after I complete my first post for this new thread: a 30,000 word report on why Paper Mario: Sticker Star is ten times the game of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door.
