| Great minds! My pre-order went in today. I saw a US copy in my local import store later on last year, but I was a little low on funds at the time and chose to support Vita's PAL release of the game.
I'm totally new to Persona/SMT (despite owning the original Devil Survivor on DS), and I can't ignore the unanimously glowing reviews I've read about this game. |

| I do occasionally get pulled into an RPG without really expecting to. Examples include the oddities that are Disgaea, Rhapsody: A Musical Adventure, The World Ends With You, Dragon Quest IX, Mario & Luigi/Paper Mario series, and my long-time love of the ancient Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past.
The knowledge that so many before me have been struck by a game sometimes helps, so this seems like a logical candidate. |

| I shall definately play this some time, but I think I'd rather play 3 first. |

| Stu, I reckon this'll be right up your street. It's a pretty unconventional RPG setting and story-wise, and the gameplay is solid too. |

Greqt to hear! I like the bonkers idea of the TV world, mixed with the daily school life element the game is set in. Should be a brilliant setting for character development and interaction. |

It really is - P4's cast might well be some of the best developed game characters i ever recall seeing, although i don't think the interaction is quite as good as P3's. But then again, that's like saying Super Mario World isn't quite as good as Yoshi's Island - either way, it's excellently done. |

| As soon as I get a Vita I'll be getting this. Being a huge fan of the original PS2 game, being able to play it on the go and having extra content is highly appealing to me |

| Very much looking forward to this now, and hopefully I'll have the Rayman Origins Platinum trophy just in time for its release. |

| Ehh. I'm buying the game for the game, not some half-assed pre-order 'bonus'. After the Ni no Kuni special edition, I think my bar for pre-order bonuses has been forever raised to a ridiculously high standard. |

| I started playing it today, though I picked a stupid time to start it and have consequently only made it past the opening bit of dialogue.
Did this used to be a PS2 game? I'm finding the 3D models to look a bit basic when put against those stunningly sharp menus. Not a complaint, it just took me a little while to adjust to the shift between menu/in-game. I'm liking the little conversation trees I've encountered so far, and I sense that it's going to be brimming with the character that all the reviews have yelled about. |

It is an enhanced port of a PS2 game (from 2008), yes. Going off the screens i've seen though, i thought Golden looked notiblely sharper than P4 generally. But, eh. Just mind that forever taking slow start before you actually get some proper control on events. |

| I don't mind slow starts so much in handheld RPGs. As long as I can save every twenty minutes or so (which I've been able to do so far), I should be happy.
It's been so long since I've played what I could call a 'real' RPG, so a slow introduction of new elements will probably be beneficial. |

| I'm just wondering whether this game ever reaches a point where you can simply grind to your heart's content? I made it through (without wanting to spoil too much) the Yukiko thing by the skin of my teeth, in my opinion. It's also a bit tricky to hoard medicines at this point because funds are still a little thin. (Haven't got a job yet.) |

After the "Yukiko thing" is where the intro really ends. So, about now you should be finding yourself pretty free to just level, do social links or whatever as you please. |

| Ah, excellent! Cheers. So, is the 'several days of rain leads to fog in Inaba' thing not a recurring plotline? I had visions of trips into the TV world being pushed along by the threat of a game over. |

Oh, that's a massive recurring thing, and your visions are not wrong. But, you're free to go in the tv world pretty much whenever though, not just if you need to do X. |

| Ah, right. In which case, I need to try juggling trips to the TV world with everything else that's going on. I accidentally missed socialising with Yosuke a few days ago in favour of replenishing supplies, and then I missed out on socialising with Chie because it clashed nights with soccer practice. I'm presuming that I'll be able to find Yosuke on a free day to make up for that, and Chie said that she could be found up on the roof during a free afternoon after school. |
