There's a chain of pubs here in Japan called "The Hub", which are styled after British pubs. They're a good spot to go to if you want to meet other English speakers or, apparently, if you want to meet girls who want to speak English.
Anyway, I was in there last night and I had a really delicious basket of fried chicken and thick, wedge-like chips. And then I realised it had cost me the equivalent of about £3. Japan is so good for grub!

Yesterday my wife ordered a curry whilst I had a nap (I lead one heck of a rock and roll lifestyle - and by ‘rock’ I mean ‘sleeping like a rock’, and by ‘roll’ I mean ‘rolling over in bed’). She got something for me that the menu said was ‘medium’... let me tell you, fellow forumites and fellow food fans, it did not feel medium. There were chillis in there that were so powerful they blew my socks off and left my slippers askew. Askew... and that doesn’t even make sense!

It's refreshingly high quality too. I've genuinely no idea what site or program I used for that either.

It's not a commonly known fact, but a bandana and shades are actually commonplace at the dinner table in parts of the world when spicy food is served as it'll stop any sweat dripping down from your head and also ensure you don't accidentally rub your eye after handling a rogue chilli pepper.

Went for brunch yesterday at an American-style dinner, as I'm having a Big Tasty later tonight, I avoided the burgers and went for the Americana breakfast.
Which to me seemed more Candian as it was pancakes, maple syrup, bacon, sausages and eggs.
I wasn't sure if those things would actually go together but they do and now I'm tempted to put maple syrup on everything.

A friend introduced me to maple syrup and crispy bacon on the same pancake a couple of Pancake Days ago and I've never looked back.

There was a little mark on the lens of your camera that really bothered me, kept thinking there was a mark on my screen.
I really enjoyed that video Drunka. I wonder if supping the broth would have had given you more of that fishy flavour than the noodles themselves. Was that one of Balla's tracks from the request thread a while back? Also, I hope you picked up some NJPW tickets when you were in Lawson's getting that chicken.

Corpsing at the end there Drunka, need to commit to your psycho cake character.
Top stuff again! The Litten cake looked lush. Did the cakes have any link to the Pokémon in question beyond the packaging? I wasn't able to make out if they were etched into the cake itself or something.

I am furious at the misrepresentation of Pain au Chocolat. Those are clearly Chocolate Croissants. If you're going to continue with this ridiculous series I demand a video apology to set the record straight and a Chocolate Croissant song to re balance the scales.

Nah, just cake. Back in Osaka they had pancakes as well, which had a little printed Pokemon on the top, but I can't find that in Nagano

I was wondering the same as yourself in the video if those rice flavour sachets were to be cooked like you did and if these were the sachets in question, then it seems as though they're meant to be sprinkled over warm rice, not cooked in with the water - at least judging by the comments down below. I guess you could try them again in your next video to give them another bash to see if they're up to much being eaten in that way as opposed to boiling it with the rice?

I tried it today and they do provide a little more flavour that way but I remain unimpressed.
