Thanks Jay, that's basically what I've been trying to do the last couple days but it's especially tough since my family had a fair few dogs when I was growing up & I don't remember a time when we didn't have one.

I'm sure I'll be okay in time.

There's nothing much we can do, but you know we're here if you want to play something or just chat some nonsense and take your mind off.

I bet he had a really happy life though.

This is sort-a videogame-y, but I thought I'd share it here, as it's not really. Nintendo UK have put an episode of Yokai Watch on their YouTube channel. I thought I'd click on it to see if it's bearable, and in true lazy fashion, clicked halfway along the timeline to randomly sample things. Unfortunately I clicked here.

Sometimes when I plug in the very laptop I'm typing on right now, there's a spark from plug adaptor to, well, plug. Should I be worried?

That happens to me all the time, couldn't be less fussed about it. I'd say you're fine.

A couple of my extension leads spark now and then. I think hope it's nothing to worry about.

Yeah, I had two laptops that both did that. I didn't die, and broke them in different ways, so I'm sure it's OK.

I did write loads, but it descended into utter stoopid madness near the end.  We played a words game, and the answers were all about sexy ice cubes, sexy bathtubs, and sexy Pokémon (Sexémon).  Insane. But fun.

Just come back from the hospital and they can't find anything wrong with me, I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing.

Rather depends why you were in there in the first place. Hope all's well, and by 'all' I mean 'you'!

Sharp stabbing pains in my shoulder with unbearable pain, which happened like 2 weeks ago then again Saturday night which had continued to be painful but went from 8/10 on Saturday to like 2/10 but at work this morning on a checkout when scanning a crate of beer.

My shoulder became painful again that I asked to go home, the boss wasn't to pleased and was like if it's so bad why don't you go to the hospital.

So went and had these tests and part from being overweight, I'm as fit as fiddle. Which leads me to I don't know if that's a good or bad thing because I may get this pain again, there answer was come in right away.

Which is fine but due to the pain have to get my Dad to drive me A&E at 3am in the morning, if had got him to do it on Saturday.

Ouch and double ouch. If it starts hurting again, there'll be more tests to run, I bet. Fingers crossed it stops for good now!

Hopefully nothing more than a pulled muscle - all too easy to get when you're regularly lifting stuff in a supermarket.

I'm in Newcastle for a professional conference.  It feels bizarre.  I feel like I should be here with you gents, drinking weird cocktails and being frightened of horses, not with a bunch of stats. people.

That's what Newcastle will always mean for me now, I think. Can't see many other reasons I'll head back.

Aye. Looking forward to returning to the old stomping ground next year. Might even bring a plug adapter this time!

At least if a few of us have a Switch we won't be so reliant on the dinky TV! Speaking of which . . .

We'll have to book into a place with a trendy rooftop setup so we can all play on the Switch and look cool.
