I fell away from Overwatch last year and I don't know if I'll be double dipping. It's good to see it on Switch, if nothing else.

I've still never played, so I'll give it a bash.
Man, I really need to sort out home internet soon . . .

Seen it physical for £33 or around that but it's a code in box, that you might as well buy digital unless you want a spare case.

I fear Overwatch died a year ago.

I do sometimes think about firing it up on PS4 again, but I've not heard anything positive about the game for quite some time now. Although to be fair, I've also stopped following it entirely. Tank meta turned into barrier meta, and then they broke Mercy. Maybe it's good again now?

I've not played for ages as we stopped playing on PS4, I don't know anyone that plays it on Xbox One that I am out of the loop.

Just if people are playing this on Switch that I know, I know I'll enjoy playing it.

I would think a Switch release can rejuvenate it a bit, I completely fell off it too but there's always something about playing on Switch that has me interested. Shame about the code in a box though, that crap sucks.

As I get paid on Friday, I'm looking at doing my preorders and wanted to know if anyone is thinking about getting this on Switch?

Andy, Jay and I have fired up a few games of this over the last week on ps4, in case anyone feels like diving back in.

I know Overwatch 2 has been delayed, but that was just the MP of Overwatch + a new Single Player component.

I wonder if cross play was planned for it as I've got Overwatch on Xbox also on PS4 but lack of PlayStation system, yet if cross play was a thing I would be up for some games.

I don't think there is crossplay and even if there is, I don't think there's a way of inviting folk from other consoles to your party. Kind of like Rocket League. Hopefully when you do get a Sony system again we'll still be playing.

I know nothing yet, but was just something that could have launched alongside Overwatch 2.

To be honest, I still don't really have a clue what Overwatch 2 is! Although I guess Blizzard don't either, since it's not coming out this year

It's single player basically, think Halo 3 ODST basically I guess.

Why I thought it was a odd pick for Andy for Fantasy, same goes for Craig with the Pod of War Fantasy with CrossfireX.

Yes, the more the merrier! I've found myself enjoying my return to Overwatch far more than I expected. I think the addition of forcing a proper team composition for Quick Play and Competitive games has made the game much less frustrating to play - there was nothing worse than having to resort to solo healing whilst a team of Genji, Widowmaker, Hanzo, Junkrat and Sombra run about spamming "I NEED HEALING" over and over.

I've quite enjoyed seeing the variety of new modes in the arcade as well. I hopped on mirror deathmatch free for all today and it was great fun seeing 8 zens clobbering each other

Overwatch 2 had a showcase yesterday

Looks like a pretty significant overhaul of the game. I didn't watch the full video because it's bloody 40 minutes long, but it is definitely going to be a fully fledged sequel.

Looks good but as MP is still shared, they've not convinced me to get Overwatch 2 yet.

I need to see that single player, otherwise I'll be happy playing Overwatch on PS4 at whatever graphics settings it has.

Is it fully shared though or just the PvP stuff?

There seems to be a lot of thought that has gone into the skill trees and things for PvE

I know they said new maps, new characters and multiplayer would be shared which might just be the current modes.

Then the new hero missions stuff with skill tree, single player campaign would be Overwatch 2 only from what I believe.

I've read that Overwatch 2 will be removing those control capture maps (Hanamura, Volskaya Industries etc) from competitive, replacing them with a new game mode called Push, accompanied by new maps. The control capture maps will still be available but only in the arcade.

This is probably a decent change as those maps were amongst the most frustrating in the game for sure. I'm not sure what repercussions this will have on Overwatch classic though.
