Puns are always accepted in this forum, you know that. I'm hoping for a Sword Labo, so that The Legend Of Zelda: Flame Of The Ancients can capture some of that Skyward Sword spirit.
IF you could make one game an eSport, what would it be and why?

You know I always like to contribute to these question-y things, Zero... but I couldn't give less of a monkey's testicle about eSports, so I'm not sure I can in this case. Apols.

It doesn't have to be a typical eSports game at all - in fact, I'm going to pick Super Mario Bros. as mine.

I can't really think of anything as almost everything you think could be is a eShop.

Would I want to watch people playing SMB though? Or indeed, any game I truly love...

This is a great shout and a game you can't really be consistently amazing at.

My pick would have to be Nidhogg. I've never played it myself but like smurf says about Gang beasts it is just fun to watch, not only because of the tug of war aspect but the way people react when playing it is gold as well.
Here's some wrestle mens playing it.

I'd love the opportunity to add another world title to my name, blindfolded this time.

I was going to say Super Mario Bros.... Anyway, let's go again.
IF you could revitalise (or revive) any genre of video games, which one would it be?

It's a draw between arcade football games and arcade racers for me. Both genres are massively underrepresented these days, despite their popularity. There's nothing out there that's like ISS or Virtua Striker, and too little that's similar to games such as Ridge Racer or SEGA Rally.

I think those sort of games died with the Dreamcast Cappa, but there are rumours that Ridge Racer 8 will a Switch exclusive.
For me it's Survival Horror, it's one of my fav genres and as we've recently seen with the 7th mainline entry of a series it isn't for everyone but it is a genre we need more games in.

Light gun games. Some sort of modified wiimote + adapter would do the trick. Inexpensive but effective.

Should be easy on Switch, with the Joy-Cons and all those sensors.

This would have been the exploratory 3D platformer this time last year, only now we're drowning in them slightly. Er. 3D Metroidvania I suppose?

With some sort of Labo-based successor to the Zapper and Super Scope? You might be on to something there...

If it gets a Switch-grade, recreate this on the J R Yamanote line.
