| Cappa's findings on Asda seem to be good for 3DS stuff too, a lot of first party stuff around the £10 mark with Mario Sports Superstars being perhaps the highlight of what I found in my local. |

| I need to go do a spot of shopping tomorrow morning. My choices in easy walking distance are Tesco or Asda. . . and I guess my decision's just been made! |

| In my local Asda, '3DS' stands for '3 Don't Sell'. Didn't quite make sense, did it? Oh well, back to the bargains, I guess! |

| I doubt anyone ventures in this thread much anymore but Smyths have Devilish Brain Training for £5 and Kirby Battle Royale (the game Fortnite copied) for £15.
I picked up the latter as I could trade it in for £27 with Game's pre-order bonus but not before playing through the story mode and it's incredibly fun. Something I'd quite love to get a Switch release to be honest so it can get the players to do it justice.

| Aren't your Gold Points also used for discounting Switch eShop titles? I think that's where I'll be punting my Gold Points for the time being if so. |

| Seriously recommend picking up Severed, in some format, if you haven't done so yet. I've played nothing else like it and had a very... good time? If those are the words I'm looking for? |

On Switch they are, though they've kept the legacy 3DS/Wii U style offers around of either: zz% off voucher for specific games that rotate every month using either platinum or gold coins download codes for specific games using gold coins - which I think are a steal now that you get something like six times the coins that you used to. |

Severed is very good, and yes it is a really novel mix of modern mobile/touch combat and super classic dungeon crawling. Probably one of my favourite Vita games |

Yeah, part of the reason why I didn't bother with Celeste was how derivative the visuals were. It was the excuse I needed to skip the game - as I mentioned in other threads I'd also had my fill of hard single screen platformers after Super Meat Boy, VVVVVV, The End Is Nigh and Bunny Must Die!. |

| From the LGYF thread: - Balladeer wrote:

Since then, however, Celeste's happened, which I think is... not beautiful perhaps, but still a lovely looking game. I'm looking forward to getting Hyper Light Drifter too, and that also looks pretty special.
I'm not a fan of pixel art (Jay will tell you just how much, as will OR); and I still thought Celeste looked great in motion. Sorry Fronk, you ain't getting off that easy! |

| Celeste is super readable (which is most important given the genre), but every level is also visually very distinct.
The chapter completion art and dialogue mugshots are lovely too |

| I was about to mention the dialogue art (which is neatly animated at times too) of Celeste but OR has beat me to it, I've only started playing the game recently and they give the game so much charm and my mind happily fills in the rest of the details when looking at the pixely parts. - Fronkhead wrote:

That's a perfectly fair reason to skip it though even if I do think you're missing out on a very slick platformer. |

| Jaster gets what I'm talking about. And by the time I do feel like giving the genre another stab a newer, shinier game will have come along. |

| He might do, he's also playing the game though. Anyway, should probably not clog up a 3DS thread with talk of a Switch title (any more than I already have (which is a lot I know I'm sorry )), but I'd welcome Fronkhead/Jas/whoever coming back at me in the game's thread. My 11th favourite game of all time, don'cha know.
