https://pikuniku.net/ This is cute-looking. Colour me interested. Me also! I think there's something wrong with me - I feel like I'm going to be invested in the story! - Balladeer wrote:

As I only played through the original once, I wasn't even aware of the procedural generation - that's just how the game "was", as far as I was concerned. Really, the original game itself was a bit basic, but it was a charming thing to casually work through. |

| I just bought Ironcast so far with the PayPal offer of £20 for £15 and I've got £7 left, so anything £10 or less you guys recommend on Switch as I don't mind putting a few squids to something. |

| Did you play Kamiko yet? Cheap and cheerful, worth paying for a good afternoon of nice ol' gameage. |

| Graceful Explosion Machine is my shout, especially if you like stuff such as Defender and Fantasy Zone. |

| I own both of them but I think I might wait for Golf Story or Steamworld Dig 2. |

| Have you thought about any of the ACA Neo Geo games? They're £6.29, so would fit the bill tremendously. However, I can't blame you for wanting to wait for SteamWorld Dig 2: I want that game quite, quite badly. |

| Aye, one of the Metal Slug games would go down a treat if you're looking for a quick game to buy. |

| Sneaku PikuNiku intervieeku. A little about the game and its creator in NintendoLife. It still sounds quite out there and looks like a bizarre Mr. Men advert. |

| Has anyone joined me in buying The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+? I'm loving having this on the Switch. Being able to grab my Switch and play a quick session on a commute or even lying in bed rather than booting up the PC like I had to do with Rebirth is a real treat. The price might put some folks off, but there's so much to do! It'll be worth your time and money. |

| It's a fun game, if a little grotesque, but I've not been tempted to get it in the slightest, I'm afraid. The Wii U version was enough for me. |

| To be fair, there won't be enough new content to tempt someone who's played Rebirth, so that's understandable. |

| I've played bits of it on the go but not a lot else as the Switch has loads for me to play.
Another Nindie interview done and the game is out this week along with Drunka reviewing at somepoint.
I've got another biggish studio like Zoink Games coming up soon as well, like next week to tie into a game coming out. |

| I downloaded PAN-PAN as the art looked nice and no other reason, I've not even seen any reviews and now it goes on the backlog.
This was brought up on NVC on how the Nintendo may have gone about this year with the Switch and wanting to tick boxes, like so Action Adventure (Action-RPG, if you are me): Zelda Fighter: ARMS and Pokken Western RPG: Skyrim JRPG: Xenoblade 2 FPS: DOOM Sport: NBA, WWE, FIFA
etc and one of the biggest genres in gaming that you don't see often on console is MOBA and Tencent who I think makes more money than almost any gaming company are bringing over Arena of Valor, which is a mobile based MOBA which huge in Asia (both the genre and game) and has DC characters well at least on mobile with Marvel characters at some point as well from what I can find from info on the game.
I've played a bit of Heroes of the Storm, Blizzards MOBA and I quite liked it, that I am up for giving AoV ago plus it's free to play. |

| Anyone else playing SteamWorld Dig 2? I'm about a hour into the game and it looks lovely on the Switches screen, where I've mainly been playing it.
That and Thimbleweed Park, seems like we've had a got week without the two retail fighters. |

| I've been getting SteamWorld-y. It stuns me how much I've missed the series since I stopped playing Heist; the first few minutes felt like putting on a comfortable jumper that I hadn't worn in ages. Ruddy Image & Form, with their quiet commitment to excellence. |

| I've bought them both. Thimbleweed is one I'll be playing with The Lady, SWD2 is something I'd like to try given how well y'all received SWD1 and how they've removed the thing I didn't like about the game. |

| I didn't really play the first Balla but this seems straight Metroidvania. I'm really interested on how you get on with Thimbleweed as point and clicks aren't my thing but reckon could work well on a handheld. |

| Which is a shame, Jimmers, as TP seems like it'd be right up your street. It's of the Grim Fandango breed, only thus far not deeply annoying.
Anyone else giving it a crack? I'd presume that it wouldn't get enough interest to earn its own thread, but I'd like to be proven wrong. I've just started it but I'm really intrigued. Poor pseudo-German Boris... |

| It's one that I'll inevitably return to at some point, but much like Jimbob I've got too large of a backlog to warrant buying another game right now. |

| I should be OK, if my assumption that Xenoblade Chronicles and Chrono Trigger are brief 4 hour experiences. Is that right? Have I got that right?
Ah - also - looking back - I meant SteamWorld Dig 2. However, Timbleweed Park is also on my "strongly suggest" list. |

| Speaking of which, I've started it, and it feels exactly like the last SWD only less level-designed by automaton (thematically appropriate but rather dull). Still annoying when you accidentally stop yourself from being able to access a treasure though.
I'd got a feeling that SWD2 will eventually require a thread, given how many people on here got drool on their 3DSes while playing SWD1, but it'd probably be better if it wasn't just me playing it... anyone else? |

| If you played anything else past the two hour mark, you might discover that some of them are quite good. |
