Ooh, I like Severed. Wonderful aesthetic, nightmarish yet colourful. Very simple to pick up, yet I'm still downright bad at lopping the monsters' bits off. #ifyouknowwhatimean And the puzzles are small and cute.
The most damage I've taken so far has been from the poison jars, though. Don't slash the poison jars!

Hyper Light Drifter might come to the Switch. Any takers? I'd be considerably up for this, myself - always fancied drifting through hyper light. Ordinary light is just so twentieth century, y'know?
The Drifter will be in Brawlout which is coming to Switch and he makes his announcement appearance in the Switch reveal trailer, hopefully this means HLD is coming to Switch.

Has HLD not already been confirmed for Switch? I'm sure I read that somewhere.

Nope, we even talked about it the page back (I think) that they're thinking about it.

Shantae: Half Genie Hero's first new playable character campaign is coming on August 29th. This is something the game needs to flesh it out a bit, so I'm in. I might even have finished Sonic Mania by then.

I seem to have the opportunity to interview Zoink Games about their up coming games on Switch like Flipping Death and Fe, anything you want me to ask them?

Anything there take yer fancy? Can't say I'm up for much besides the obvious (Shu looked interesting I suppose), the obvious being SWD2, Hollow Knight, and Owlboy.
Also: there's some really bad looking stuff there! Like the game where you control a box with lousy physics, or the shooter than seems to run at about 15fps, or the game that wants to be an anime in which you hit things with the least satisfying branch ever. Quality control, Nintendo.

That's Unbox: Newbie's Adventure, which I'm playing on PS4 this week. It sells itself as a "90s style 3D platformer" on the back of the box, and that's all it is really. It's the physics that set it apart, and I think that they're actually quite fun. It's a very lively and cheery sort of game that's made me crack a smile a few times. I don't think it's as good as Yooka-Laylee, but it'll be a good budget choice if the publisher knows better than to double the price I paid for it on PS4 (£15).

To answer your question, SteamWorld Dig 2 will definitely get picked up, but everything else can wait for a sale.

I stand corrected, then. It looked utter bobbins from the five or so seconds I saw, but if it plays well that's what matters.

SteamWorld Dig 2 and Owlboy for me as well. Actually I think I've heard good things about Warg...rthingy - the Advance Wars-alike.

I actually liked the look of a lot in that trailer but the obvious big stand outs are Steamworld dig 2, Owlboy & Hollow Knight.
I've been looking forward to Wargroove since before the Switch launched and things like Huntdown & 8 bit Armies look like fun distractions if they are ten quid or less.

Owlboy, Hollow Knight and Wargroove will be must buys for me. They all look amazing!
Are we not getting a proper Nindies showcase tomorrow?

Quite liked the look of that Aces Of The Luftwaffe one: the sort of gentle vertically scrolling shmup that I played in my pre-Nintendo days. To be honest, most of the 2D platformers looked similar... though I am glad that some 3D platformers are on the downloadable horizon.

Also! That Nine Parchments looks like a big heap o'fun: a co-operative action RPG with lots of colourful mayhem. If there is online multiplayer to be had, I would like to think that a small group of us would embark on the title and enjoy it to the end.

That be cool Zero if we could.
The big news to me part from something which has its own thread is Kentucky Route Zero which I've only heard good things about but due to it be PC only and Act V seemingly have no date, but now I'm sold.

Also! The beautiful-looking SteamWorld Dig 2 comes out on September 21st at the princely sum of £14.99. I am so up for this it's unsettling. The Switch eShop is about to deliver on a level akin to the Wii U eShop at its best, in my humble, unsubtle and often wrong opinion.

I found a lot to like in the original Steamworld Dig, but the procedural generation rubbed me up the wrong way something horrendous. That, combined with the (in my humble unsubtle and often wrong opinion) overhyping a lot of others did, turned me against it in the end.
This has no procedural generation. I'm excited.

Earlier today Worms W.M.D. was announced for the eShop:
I'd have bet my left bollock on this coming to the Switch, it'll be a great fit. So long as Team 17 don't rip the pish with their pricing, I'll get this when it releases.

Nobody likes me Everybody hates me Think I'll go play Worms
I've played a bit of Worms in my time, albeit quite a while ago. I wasn't sold on it back in the day but I'm glad to see it coming for those that want it.

If I remember correctly even though many of them have been digital only they still sell them for about 20 quid on ps4, I think that's fine if you have a group of people that want to play it regularly but too high if you don't.
