I was having a wee look at at the eShop last night and thought these 2 games look pretty good and both only cost about a fiver or so.
Anyone took a chance with them?

I haven't heard of either of those two games - Chameleon Run looks more up my alley, but there's something not clicking with me visually for both those games.
In other news, seems as though we're getting both [i[Inside[/i] and Limbo next week. There's plenty to chew on from an indie standpoint just now on Switch.

I recently finished Inside and I thought it was very good but a little overhyped.

I'm definitely up for Inside, but go in with the expectation that I'll not love it as much as every critic and their dog. And I'll probably try to get Hollow Knight done and dusted first.
I'm drowning in good games lads (and lasses). Drowning I say!

Limbo was pretty good but overhyped. I'm expecting the same from Inside but I'm still up for giving it a bash . . . eventually.

I've always found the hype around Inside to be pretty fair. The puzzles are bang on and the world is interesting. Much better than Limbo.

Inside is a 9/10 game but is it a 10/10 GOTY game, no no it's not.

I'm up for giving both a look eventually, but like Balla alluded to there are so many indies to choose from right now!

What, for you, makes that difference? It seems like a pretty subtle distinction.

I think Andy is sort of right as I do think that's why a lot of places gave it a 10/10 or GOTY.
I personally don't like 10/10 as that means perfect but on the whole the GOTY thing, it's a hard one to distinguish between games to be honest.

So it looks like the Arena of Valor beta codes are starting to roll out today (got mine!) Anyone else excited for this? I think this has the potential to be huge on the Switch!

Yeah, I am as I've liked what I've played of HoS but I'm not keen on playing on PC that a good MOBA on a console could be my thing.

I finished Yoku's Island yesterday myself and it was an absolute banger. Everyone get on it now, it's better than whatever you're playing (unless that happens to be a Yakuza game).

The just-out-last-week Miles and Kilo is worth a look.
The games' website describes it as "super tough", which is usually a big, big reason to stay the fuck away, but it's honestly quite good. Plus, you're getting KId Tripp free with it if you download it this week. £7.19 for the two of those is nicely done.

I don't know if you guys have seen but I think Nintendo might be screwing up the eShop after saying they want 20-30 games a week to come out on it from an investor meeting.
That to me is just turning it into STEAM, Mobile and PSN. I'm not a dev (hi eofgiz) but this would worry me, sure all are like it but the eShop layout isn't great and with that many games after a week, my game wouldn't be on the front page and likely unless it was an 8+ wouldn't get much notice.

That looks like it's really well made and if I didn't have enough Switch games to get through I might pick it up, so, one to add to the wish list I think.

That's what the discover tab is for, isn't it? I had a wee look on it yesterday and was reminded Just shapes and beats was already out so I put it into my wish list ready for when I can get around to buying it. I'd honestly prefer to have 20-30 games coming out each week compared to what Nintendo used to deliver for their e shop.

It's better than nothing but I just feel if Nintendo is actively looking for games we get pish like Life of Black Tiger which is taking up retail space of what might be a good game that should be in the forefront.

It's a fair aim, and I daresay it won't bother us informed voters, but I agree with Mas that the eShop could still do with more of a revamp at the front end for the more casual browser.
Kyles and Milo looks good, in the sort of SMB3-style way, but maybe too hard for me. If I'm getting another 2D platformer on the eShop, which I'm in no rush to do, it's Slime-San. Which, I see, got an expansion recently.
Anyone picking up Bomb Chicken? Not my thing, but it looks cute!
