| Right, I need games for my holiday in Paris. I'm thinking of getting Jotun and Fe. Anyone tried Light Fall? Any good?
EDIT: Picked up Jotun, LF, and Lost Sphear. Been a while since my last JRPG! By which I mean, er, less than four months. Still, time for another one! |

| Just downloaded 60 Seconds! for the tiny sum of £2.12 which I had more than enough for in gold points. Only heard of it from a YouTube video that recommended it but is an interesting concept, you have 60 Seconds to run around your house to gather things to take in to a bomb shelter and then the rest of the game from there is all about how you can survive based on your decisions. Stay tuned for my thoughts. |

| Sounds like Minit, only darker. An intriguing premise either way: I'd be up for hearing those thoughts! |

| Based on the first half-hour or so, Aqua Kitty UDX is well worth a look at £3.24, and especially if you like wrap-around arcade shmups like Defender, Fantasy Zone and, more recently, Graceful Explosion Machine.
Wulverblade also got a big update, which added a much-needed Easy Mode. It's a much fairer and likeable game as a result, and I recommend it when it goes down to a tenner-ish in a few days time. |

Aye that Aqua Kitty UDX does look pretty good, even though it's really cheap I'll have to finish off a few more Switch games before picking it up. |

| Aw man! I like the look of everything about Aqua Kitty - the music, the style, the dreadful dreadful puns - apart from the actual gameplay. Not a shmup fan. Still, I'd be pleased if it did well - we need more games that have pixel art big cat eyes in them. - masofdas wrote:

I'm not really a horror fan either? I understand it feels a bit like a worse Inside, which I'll probably play should it ever make the leap to Switch purely because every critic seemed to love it; but like an old mobile 'phone, LN doesn't have quite the same reception and I don't like the aesthetics so much. One thing that has scrambled up over a couple of games for me on the weight of critical reception is this pinball Metroidvania. Good scores, good style, genre(s) I like... Let's hope it's not another Odama. |

| Inside was announced ages ago for Switch.
I really like the art-style of Little Nightmares and one of my fav games of last year. |

| So pokemon quest hit the eshop for free this morning has anyone given it a go yet?
I've played a few hours and its strangely addictive! The micro transactions are very non intrusive and its not that deep but it is kinda fun!

| I had the opposite experience, Giz, as outlined in the thread about the game itself.
I've played a fair few different mobile games and I've found myself more willing to drop a bit of money here and there on them if there's no noticeable wall if you keep your money to yourself. I found the wall very quickly with Quest. |

| My thoughts on 60 Seconds are belatedly useless now as I think the sale on it has ended. Absolutely worth a punt at the price I paid, not too sure about it's normal price though (around £8 I think). It's very good to pop in and out of for a quick game and the writing can be quite funny but I can imagine I'll have seen everything it has too offer after a few more playthroughs. A lot of decisions feel a bit luck based and those that aren't tend to crop up too much taking away the need to have a good think about it.
Worth it if it goes back to the sale price, wouldn't bother without though.

| Bleah. Meanwhile I've tried Light Fall. It's pretty, and has a clever gimmick, and stars a cute monochrome creature in a vaguely post-apocalyptic world... in other news it's an indie title. Also it has an owl with a really annoying voice. |

| We've got an update
Now on the eShop is a featured games section, I don't know if it's the same for everyone or based on what you've bought but still something to highlight games. The other thing is the chart which now has an overall chart, a retail chart and a digital chart which I think they all show the Top 40.
Which is great as you can look and see something like Celeste at Number 19 on the digital chart but not on the overall, this might be handy to find games that at least others are buying. |

| Better discoverability on the eShop is always a good thing. Now, add some music to the eShop next Nintendo and we'll be cooking. |

| Here's something you still probably wouldn't have discovered: Yoku's Island Express. Possibly the happiest game I've played (that is to say: started). You're the happiest dung beetle-postman tethered to a boulder I've ever come across, exploring a tropical island with the aid of its many pinball flippers, and occasionally tooting your party horn at things. I'm not far in it's fair to say, but if you want a game to make you smile, maybe check it out? (Check it ouuuuuuut... I miss The Rotating Platform. ) |

| They were bigging up Yoku on The Computer Game Show. Sounds like it opens up into a pretty genuinely excellent adventure. |

| I know I shouldn't judge it based on some pre-conceptions, given that you're all thumbs-upping it, but the pinball aspect of Yoku I find really unappealing. Miserable bastard I am. |

| I don't know if I am entirely: using pinball mechanics to negotiate can be a pain at times. But the ball physics are good, and everything else is so cheerful that it doesn't matter much. |

| There's a game listed on the Coming Soon section of the UK eShop called Pub Encounter, "a romance game where you can fall in love with one of several middle-aged men".
https://nintendoeverything.com/pub-encounter-is-d3-publishers-next-visual-novel-for-switch/
That's basically the script for the upcoming forum meet-up. |

(*men all appear to be only half my age*) I'm very happy for you all. Where's MILF Wine Bar 2019? I have already bought Donkey Kong. At one point I was in the top 50 in Caravan Mode... |
