| I still reckon that the Frostbite engine will be a issue that it based on last gen version, won't have ultimate team but has Switch exclusive thing like the stadium view thing FIFA 13 had on Wii U.
Cappa is right FIFA 13 wasn't bad and I did play & enjoy it when I got it near launch cheap from CEX and now you can get for £3 new but in the grand schemes, we should buy it at launch and show EA and a the other 3rd parties we want games on Switch but I'm not doing that for a waterdowned version.
Also this is coming out alongside the other console, that be in September meaning EA has nothing planned for Switch for 6 months and seems to not a after either. I wonder if these 6 months will have baring on the games quality based on how many Switches are in the wild and how other 3rd party games have done, same goes for 2K with only NBA 2k18 announced. |

I hope you're reckon, Ultimate Team is one aspect of Fifa I really like so would, if it has that and I really wanted a Switch Football game then I'd maybe even surprise myself with it, the potential to play a 2 player Football game anywhere is a real selling point (which hopefully Konami can see too). |

If this means special modes/moves and fun stupid stuff then I'm all for it. Stick yer serious FIFAs where the British rain can't get at them.
It won't though. It'll be a crappy version of FIFA 13 with one new mode that nobody plays more than twice. EA are bobbins.

Konami supposedly explored that idea for the first Pro Evo game on the Wii, before it became a mad-but-quality RTS-alike. "Special modes and moves and fun stupid stuff" definitely has it's place - I wouldn't not have the Wii 2010 FIFA World Cup game instead of the equivilent game that came out on the PS3. But EA would seriously be dropping a bollock if they fob Switch owners off with one of those Legacy editions based off of the FIFA that had nine-year-old Theo Walcott on the box. Imagine a truly portable and truly authentic FIFA, with multiplayer available at any time. Ooft. That would be popular as fuck. |

| I don't think it would though Cappa, people who want to play FIFA have a system already to do so and the streaming / eSport community are moving to PS4 as seems EA have partnered with Sony. |

| eSports are for benders. There's surely a massive market of folk out there who just want to play FIFA casually, or on the go. It's a can't-miss, so long as EA don't rip the pish and call it 'EA Sports FIFA for Nintendo Switch' when it's actually FIFA 17 on the 360. |

| It be called legacy edition, I would think but I can see why they aren't that bothered about it on Switch. |

Yup! This is why I suggested the idea of being able to trade UT players or maybe play a versus locally to pick a player from team you just beat, my brother has been big into fifa the last couple years & when I suggested this to him he loved the idea. Also with no PES in sight I'd also be tempted to buy it. |

| As ever, I'm waiting for more details before bemoaning/falling in love with the game. Some sort of non-standard version seems very likely, but I'm holding on to the "built from the ground up for Switch" phrase that EA keep splashing about (or were a few months ago). I'd rather support EA's Switch forays than not, too... get 'em onside. Always finish on a football pun, lads. Always. |

What replying to people on a forum, the shock and horror. Cappa is most likely referring to a sequence of posts in a 45-minute span in which someone posted and then you came in with a negative reply four times. That seems a bit much to me and, yes, Cappa's response that you quoted there is possibly a bit off... but negative speculation is not what we're about here, not really. There are plenty of negative aspects to the video games scene that we all know about - GamerGate, relentless fanboyism and the working practices of some Japanese game studios, for example - so I think the GNamer Forum schtick of trying to be positive is A Good Thing. |
