| I imagine there'll be ways of the bosses countering such tactics, but I should imagine that mastery of the slide technique will ultimately make boss battles easier? Being able to slide beneath some of the bosses and enemies in Mega Man 2's universe would've been a godsend. I find Mega Man's jump to be great for upward movement but a bit lacking for actually leaping over heads.
Did you give Mega Man 9 and 10 a spin? 9 looks awesome! |

| Yeah, there's fights in MM3 where jumping over a projectile and sliding under the next feels so satisfying.
I never got to play 10, but 9 was indeed awesome! A great return to form after some pants PS1 efforts.
I think a thread rename is in order! |

| Sounds like a plan to me! Especially as I intend to post my thoughts concerning each game here (funds permitting, at the moment).
And Mega Man 3 is the dawn of Rush in one of his best incarnations, apparently, so I'm looking forward to trying out his moves (quite looking forward to checking out the fusion capabilities in Mega Man 6, too).
Ever play the Game Boy outings? Mega Man II was very nearly my first ever Game Boy game. |

| Rush is basically the Items from Mega Man 2, but in dog form - naturally an upgrade!
No, I've never played them actually! Have you Stu? One I'd forgotten about - Mega Man 7 is great and gets an unfair rep for having chunky sprites. |

| I was initially skeptical about Mega Man 7 in the videos, but to me it looks gorgeous, and apparently nothing is lost in translation. I also like that it's possible for less-skilled players to buy their way through the game thanks to the abundant Bolts system. (I've been doing my homework, haven't I? ). If it ever comes to Virtual Console, I'll be all over it. Never played a GB Mega Man, though they look surprisingly faithful and very slick. Apparently one of the biggest complaints is the large sprites battling it out on a small screen. Surely nothing a bit of trial and error won't cure, which is the fun of the game I've just beaten, in my opinion. |

| Mega Man 7 feels a lot like one of the Mega Man X games, which might be where the complaints levied against stem from as the X series is very different.
If you've got the time, this sums up the appeal of the X series: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FpigqfcvlM |

| I don't think I gave mega man 10 enough of a chance, so definitely something I should try again soon. |

| I never played it, but the criticism I heard levied at it was basically "right, Mega Man 9 was a nice throwback, let's have a proper new Mega Man game". I'm excited for Mighty No. 9 as it's Mega Man in all but name. |

| I suppose that's pretty fair to say but I never did play 9 so it didn't affect me & yep I do have my :cyclops: on mighty no 9 too. |

| It's a great continuation of the series, as outlined in that video. Takes Mega Man and turns it up to eleven. |

| I think Mega Man X might be the one Mega Man game I actually got along with. I remember playing something that looks like that on PC a long time ago. |

| Definitely give it a bash! I'd say it's one of the five best Mega Man games out there. |

| Can't go wrong with Super Castlevania IV. Mega Man X is fun too - when I stopped playing last, I was on the descent into Wily's Castle the end bit. |

| Still very much got Mega Man X and Mega Man 3 on my list, but for the time being I'm getting another one struck off before I start on either: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. |

THIS IS WRONG - if you play Crash Bandicoot, and then die before you play Mega Man 3, I'll kill you. |
