Nothing that I can see - base.com and Argos have it for just under £42, but the other usual sites are selling it for closer to £45.

Worth it at that price as I played it for over 30 hours! Bear in mind though that digital is still probably better value for money if you want any extras (I completed the game with just the base pack however)

Starlink is £29.99 on Amazon, I'm really tempted but I seem to have loads to play at the moment.

Hard to say no at that price I think.

That's... not good! I wonder if they should have said "fuck it, let's market this as a Star Fox game" in a bid to boost sales, but then again, Fox and chums haven't been doing so well themselves lately.

I think something like 100k of that 112k is Switch, now that doesn't count digital (I think) which was the best deal.

I think it's just a combo of some really cracking games coming out this year and folk not being that arsed about needing extra toys etc to play their game anymore. I still like the look of it and want to get it but guaranteed something else will pop up that interests me more.

For me, Starlink always had 'Boxing Day Sales' written all over it. I was waiting for that magical £20 mark before giving it a go, and I think it'll be down to that somewhere and sometime soon.

They basically did and that's why it sold the most by far on Switch

It is also a good Star Fox game and a lot better than Zero

Was in town doing my xmas shopping and seen GAME are selling it for £29.99 and the toys are all about half price and I think I saw on twitter somewhere had like a whole basket of one toy for about £1.

I feel sort of bad for Ubisoft as they get a lot of stick even from me about doing the same game basically and they're normally a bit buggy and when they've tried something new it's a flop that I can blame them for sticking to what they know.

Is it that new? I heard it was an Ubi game with Starfox elements. Which... still sounds better than SF0, granted.

All the elements are familiar, but the combination hasn't been done before. It's an open world ubisoft game, but it's also a No Man's Sky style exploration game, and a toys to life space flight game, and then also almost a real time strategy game.

Once you hit a certain point in the story it kicks in properly, but basically as you are liberating locations on each planet the bad guys are invading and attacking others, and the varying locations have different effects such as getting you money on a timer, adding more NPC units to fight back against the enemy, or unfogging the map so you can what is going on. You can pick up and place turrets and other things around the planet's surfaces too.

It's probably a bit underused but it's very cool

My uncle texted me this morning with pictures to confirm what I wanted for Christmas (he didn't mention SMASH hmm) and when I said how cheap Starlink was, he was rather surprised that I think I'll be getting that for sure.

I basically don't like strategy games, at all. I'm not very good at the whole 'thinking three steps ahead' thing they reward. Basically don't ask me to plan stuff.
