| Kickstarter finally delivered my three-volume illustrated encyclopaedia of youkai and Japanese myths and magic. I reckon even Drunka's collection might be under threat! (Also I actually bought some cuddly Pokémon recently because of course I did.) |

| Picked up these for just under fifty quid combined: " /> Team Sonic Racing was always getting bought after enjoying it's excellent prequels. Gal Metal was something I'd had an eye on after fronkhead recommended it on here a few months back, and I felt it was worth trying at £12 new. Xenon Racer got some dogshite reviews when it came out in March, but I've heard that they've patched it, and it's now supposed to be a decent Ridge Racer-alike. Worth a bash at £14, hopefully. I downloaded the Castlevania Anniversary Collection on Switch too, and a couple of heavily-reduced games called FutureGrind and Mimpi's Dreams. |

| Some top-notch imports for the VITA, I did almost buy Catherine after playing the demo on the JPN store but it's dam expensive. |

| Ah, that's awesome! Well jealous that you can pop into your local second-hand shop and find cool things like this. Cappa's bought all the decent stuff up in Scotland, so I've no luck. |

| Some proper bargains here: The Wii games were £1.99 each and the 360 games were 99p each, all from my local GAME's last-gen clearout. They're not accepting any more of this gen of games, so they're going to keep reducing the prices until they're all gone. Looking forward to that! Sonic Boom was in my local Shelter, amongst perhaps the best selection of Nintendo games I've ever seen in a charity shop (stuff like Mario Kart 7 and Super Mario 3D World). I was going to get Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam Bros for a tenner too, but it was the cartridge for Dream Team Bros I also bought Retro-Bit's new N64 controller, their tribute to the mega-expensive Hori pads that only came out in Japan. It's a decent effort that feels good, though the analog stick travels a bit too far for my liking, and that D-Pad placement absolutely knackers the prospect of sessions of the likes of WWF No Mercy, Kirby 64 and Mischief Makers. |

| I might need to pop down to my game to see if there's anything up for grabs there. Is it just PS3/Wii/360 on offer or are they discounting DS games too?
That is a minging position for a D-Pad! I have yet to see a good N64 controller. |

That is a minging position for a D-Pad! I have yet to see a good N64 controller. All PS3 and 360 games were 99p or less, all DS and Wii games were £1.99, and all Wii U and Vita games were £4.99. I really should have picked up more 360 stuff - they must have had close to a thousand games in stock and I just grabbed what I saw without really having a think about it. |

| I reckon I'll have a jaunt into town tomorrow then and see if there's any bargains to be had. My local GAME doesn't tend to have much though - it's literally right next door to a CEX, which tends to gobble up most of the preowned stock. |

That is a minging position for a D-Pad! I have yet to see a good N64 controller. This one called the brawler64 is the best n64 controller I've seen. |

Whilst this was certainly true - CEX had the lion's share of decent games with a fair chunk of shelf space dedicated to PS3/360 and even a sizeable PS2 section - I still managed to nab this quartet for the princely sum of £3.72. |

| £12 of Amazon and what I played so far seems worth that and I don't get it's a Souls game now part from the collecting Souls but doesn't seem to be Zelda-like now though Then yesterday this came after a mixup from ShopTo but hey got it cheaper and £5 credit Persona Q2 at the moment seems to be the last physical 3DS game and is sold out everywhere |

| My lot from Play Expo in Glasgow yesterday: That's Paper Mario, Mario Party 2 and Flying Dragon on the top row, Puyo Puyo Sun, Custom Robo 2 and Derby Stallion in the middle row, and a Power Pro Baseball game on the bottom. Denki Blocks on the GBA is there too, cracking wee game that I've been meaning to buy for almost twenty years. |

| I don't know why, but Denki Blocks is triggering serious flashbacks! I must have seen it in Ninty mags back in the day. Speaking of Ninty back in the day, I found myself in Tokyo with my pal Matty yesterday. We wanted a day of monster mayhem: first the Pokemon Centre, then Godzilla street in Shinjuku, then Akihabara for some Monster Hunter merch, then back to Shinjuku for dinner at the Mosnter Hunter Bar. In a move Balla will be proud of, I grabbed three plushies: Ursaring and Cubone, then Nargacuga. I also picked up some stickers for my students, a Mega Man energy tank energy drink, a model of Hollywood Godzilla (I now have figures of the three godzillas I've seen in Japan), a gachapon toy of a tiny sniper hiding in a biscuit, and a pack of Nintendo hanafuda cards! - Spoiler:
All in all, it was an amazing day but also a very dumb way to blow a stupid amount of yen right on payday. Also, we only just made it onto the last coach home, so I got back to Nagano at like 5am. I'm zonked. Monhan bar video coming soon. |

| Pretty sure Denki Blocks was one of the games you could play on Sky Digital, not as good as Beehive Bedlam though obv

I think it's one of the weird ones NGamer really loved, like Go! Go! Beckham. |

| Denki Blocks was on Sky Active! Right enough, it's no Beehive Bedlam, but at stood proudly alongside their other belters, like Celebrity Shagmatch.
The publisher of Denki Blocks! only released one other game on a proper gaming system, which, coincidentally, was Go! Go! Beckham. |

| Mare shite. Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun! was £16.99 in Argos. I'll need to try it with the Donkey Konga bongos. Sushi Striker was a nice surprise to find in GAME. The SNES game was £6 in CEX. Big Hero 6 was £2.99 in a charity shop, bought it as it's charity, but also as a curio - it's the final DS game released, sometime in 2015. |
