Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

It's an Argos catalogue but with Nintendo stuff to get you to buy the stuff in it and giving you a 10% off something from the store, apart from the store is more expensive than other places even with the discount.

Due to a post from Drunka, I got of these films because of that with Pans being a deal and Crouching being £3

That GamesRadar thing's really disappointing - the crew of 10 years ago would've been so bloody fed up with that.

Agreed - feels a bit like farting on the grave of print games journalism.

Gaming-wise, it's been an expensive few days:

I got a couple of charity shop games. First was Rayman M for PS2 -  fair enough on it's own, but in the box was all of Rayman M's gubbins, the discs for Crazy Taxi and Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped, and an official PS2 memory card. Not bad at all for 99p!



No photos, but the Barnardos in town is shutting down next week and "everything must go" at 75% off. I picked up three Wii games: Rayman Raving Rabbids: TV Party, Just Dance 3 and Wii Fit Plus for 25p each. I got a Wii Balance Board too - 75p!

Still don't know how you end up getting this lucky, Cappa.

RE the GamesRadar advert magazine: I'm assuming that was sent if you've bought something from Nintendo UK before?

You can never own too many copies of Crazy Taxi.

I'm interested to know if Rayman M is any good. Guessing it's the equivalent of Sonic R, but has arena battles or something?

Got a few bits

Death Stranding the steelbook edition because it came with the soundtrack, would have gone for the one with the baby but no room for it.

Lady Layton on Switch for £24, also got Tokyo Dark from the eShop in what looked a good week for Switch.

Syphon Filter Dark Mirror on PS2, any good? As went to see EofGiz and ended up in town, that thought why not go that CEX. This was one of the few things I could find that seemed a good price at £3.50 (£20 for Silent Hill 2, yeah right).

Also in that CEX got The Tale Of The Princess Kaguya on Blu Ray, which means I'm missing like five studio ghibli films.

Plus you'd need to feed the baby, change the baby's nappies, raise the baby, love the baby and especially DO NOT SHAKE THE BABY.

This is a PS2 release of the PSP game right? Both Dark Mirror and Logan's Shadow are fantastic on PSP, I'm not sure how good the port is as the second analogue stick will make it play quite differently!

Yeah it is a enhanced port but some violent content was removed on PS2.

Pretty sure you can play them on Vita if that interests you btw

Resistance Retribution is great too

The merchandise has started appearing for Sword and Shield. Kinder egg type deals, Pokeballs with candy and figures in them, biscuits and cakes, a raffle in the convenience store. Might do a youtube vid or something?

As somebody who normally can’t be bothered to watch videos I’d be up for that. After release, you understand: got to hide those new monster designs! Which I’m guessing is no longer an option for you...

Nah, the only ones I've seen out and about are the starters so far. There may be other monsters in the eggs and stuff but I won't be opening them until release.

I'm down for more Drunka food videos.

I am very excited but alas i'm at work and can't play until tonight.

I also stocked up on provisions to have a powerful sesh.

I had preordered Pokemon via Base.com whom normally send out games before launch but still wasn't dispatched yesterday at 3 pm, that I cancelled and bought Shield digitally via CD Keys for £40, I almost used that voucher thing Nintendo does hut I'll want Tokyo Mirage on a cart and Animal Crossing which I wouldn't mind digital isn't on the voucher thing as of yet plus I might be able to find cheaper.  

My Simon Belmont amiibo should arrive today but what I did get yesterday though



Nothing that exciting but I couldn't turn down the Dreamcast games and strangely Dragons Dogma for £55 along with Shadow Hearts from the retro game shop, which is like £6.88 each which makes some like SEGA Rally on the expensive side but Giant Gram cheap.

Mark of Kri, I hear is a bit of underrated PS2 and for 75p was worth picking up. My PS2 collection is starting to look a tad decent.

MHS (funnily me and Balla along some others were talking about it on TOH Discord) was from GAME which in Exeter had some PS3, 360, Wii etc games which all cheap and the 3DS stuff used was either £7.99/4 for £20 or £4.99/BOGOF just the problem was they had like three games but if you can find a GAME with 3DS stuff you might get a bargain as MHS goes for about £20 on eBay. I'm not going to sell it right away and it will now be the 3DS game I'm playing, like if you asked what I'm playing on Wii U it's Paper Mario or on PS3 it's Persona 3 FES etc

Fun fact: I'm not a teenager any more. I can't get three or four hours sleep a night two nights in a row, work full shifts and go to the gym, then compensate with caffeine. I feel like shit! Not gonna be a long pokemon session tonight but that's why I have Sunday and Monday off work.

I bought a carpet. I implied to the carpet retailer that I had double-checked the measurements of my bedroom. I hadn't - so it's time to cross those fingers and make sure I don't have a bare strip of floor on one side!

I didn't buy a Switch Lite like I mentioned elsewhere that I was rather tempted to do because black friday, double discount and having a £50 voucher.

I did use my voucher along with the double discount to do a bigger than normal shop with things like fentimans cola in the mix and got Jedi Fallen as really the only game we had that I've got some interest in



Then when I came home I found Shenmue III had arrived, I will get the digital backer stuff such as soundtrack tomorrow and the physical stuff all have a TBC date.

I've said before I should be excited for Shenmue III, I should be treating it like Death Stranding and Pokémon as in bingeing it and playing nothing but it.

Just it's looked bad ever since we've seen gameplay, suzuki hasn't made a game in years which you can tell from what we've seen.

Then this year I played Kingdom Hearts III which has a far bigger budget & team behind it, that I
turned out to be underwhelming

If we ever see Half Life 3 (I don't care myself) wouldn't be shocked if that's underwhelming.

Let's just hope Beyond Good & Evil 2, Final Fantasy VII Remake and Metroid Prime 4 are all good.
