Yesterday I Bought (a bad pun) for 3!

This is slightly cheating because I received one of these as a wedding anniversary present from my wife, but...

I've got two 16GBs but I wish I imported a 32 or even the 64GB instead as better deal. Fantastic system though for indies and games of the Japanese variety.

Nice, Zero, I really should play mine but what I would be the likes of FFVI and the time I would put into that I could be putting into something like NNK2, that the SNES Mini is more of a cool figure type thing.

Such a shame Detective Pikachu is only on 3DS.

I thought you already had a Wii U GJones? You must have a lot of papers to weigh down.

It did have a DS game but it's rather different and you need to use the spell book, I believe. The first is miles the better game from the 8hrs of the second that I've played and if you want to talk backlog Balla you need to get on it as someone who's just getting into Studio Ghibli, I could only see me enjoying it more now.

The VITA has over double amount of games then the Wii U at retail and has some bangers coming like Bloodstained, Persona 3 & 5 Dancing, Catherine I don't think you can knock it.

Yes I ought to dust off the PS3 and give NNK another go really. It's just tough to get invested in a PS3 game when I'm without a TV for most of the week, and can play games on my primary machine anywhere.

I wouldn't bother. I still maintain the original is a great story with a sub par game attached. Just watch a lets play.

If the first is sub par what's NNK2 a double bogey?

I don't know as I've not played it yet, I'll get back to you in about a month.

Sold my Wii-U in 2015 unfortunately, during what was termed the Big Game Drought that Summer. Or something.

My plan is to sell the PS4 before I move abroad and have a portable system that has a mix of indie gems and Japanese stuff like Ninja Gaiden and what I didn't know before I bought it, a catalog of PS1 and PSP titles. There are also a bunch of PS2 games (Jak & Daxter Trilogy, Ratchet & Clank Trilogy, Final Fantasy X HD) that I'm keen to try. I only got the Vita from trading in some bits I never used (OG Xbox, some PS4 games...). It's frickin' beautiful, and until I sell the PS4, can be used for Off-TV play!

I'd still like a Switch, but it's out of my budget (as are many of the games).

When you're settled when you move, you plan to keep with the VITA and portable systems or would think about home consoles again?

Re. the NNK talk, remember the talk elsewhere about gaming 'magic'? How that was prevalent in BotW and Celeste, how I think I might get that more than you two? For the same reason I think I'd get on more with NNK. The art, world, and music will distract me from any gameplay issues, I reckon. (Not that I'd say those two examples had significant gameplay issues, natch.)

NNK is banger, I don't know why I've got dragged in with Andy think it isn't, however the sequel so far has been very standard JRPG and the story is okay and can't be helped being compared to the first.

You're making it sound like I hate the game here. The world is beautiful, the story amazing, but for that reason it would make a great film. The combat is just SO poor and hideously balanced that it becomes a chore. I was happy enough to just be in the world that I platted it, I just think the combat is poor and that for someone who is struggling to play the games they have I'd recommend watching the story and getting 90% of the good stuff in a shorter and more effective medium.

Hope that line about hate isn't aimed at me, just Balla said about us with I might get that more than you two, where I feel I do get the magic.

I think it's just having less chances to sit down with a console in front of the TV, so portable makes sense. Vita offers console experiences and it's a system I've always heard good things about.

Persona 4 Golden is utterly amazing, also just remembered VITA TV exists that you could play those console like games on VITA on a TV.

I (in a fit of madness) bought myself a PSP. I'm dead keen on experiencing the earlier Monster Hunter games for myself and I've also got a real hankering for marathoning the Final Fantasy series and the PSP felt like the best way to experience the early FF games alongside playing the definitive versions of MH1 and MH2.

The PSP does have the best Final Fantasy on it Crisis Core and it's still only on PSP.

I mean, Square Enix themselves called it "the must have PSP game of 2008" so it has to be good.

I have an old psp somewhere with MH freedom unite on it, with all I know about the series now I may start a new character on it one day even if its just to see how far MH has come.

They're not kinder branded, and the chocolate didn't taste nearly as good, but they were the same deal; they even have the dual layers of white and milk chocolate.

You are genuinely mad. You could have played Monster Hunter 3 on 3DS and had a much less distressing step back in time!
Hit me up about replaying the final fantasies. I picked up a copy of I&II for the GBA while I was in Super Potato. I'd seen the Square Enix cafe and the Final Fantasy 30th anniversary exhibit at an art museum and felt sad that I had no connection to the series. I understand I can play the first six games on the GBA and DS, and I'm thinking of starting the series, seeing as I'm in Japan and wanting to experience the culture. Would be fun as a total noob to play alongside someone who actually does know the series.
