| Consider me corrected! Yoshi's the other one I might consider starting with actually, more because I feel sorry for him than any other reason (alsobecausehe'sadorable). But yes, I want to try out dem new Link mechanics. I read somewhere that he feels more like Snake now: Snake, but with ranged mêlée attacks and no third-party bullshittery? Sign me right up!
Jay, has Pikachu changed? Or is it just the same but benefiting from the changes? |

| ...no? To be fair, Smash is the perfect game to take tryhards like me down a peg or two and level the playing field - items and stages will see to that. |

Yeah! Although it has to be set up by very slowly flying over to someone first - I think I last hit someone with that in 2011... |

| I remember beating Event Match 51 on SSBM by spamming that! Good times... I’m hoping Link’s Down and A is relatively unchanged: does a similar job, but leaves you even more open on landing. |

| It seems as though most of the tinkering they've done with him is with his specials, but you've always got Young Link to fall back on if that move has been given the cut for whatever reason. |

| I did wonder how they were going to make Young Link and Toon Link sufficiently different. If Link has become BotW Link, Young Link is more like Link in previous Smash games, and Toon Link stays the same, that would make more sense. |

| I think that's what they've gone for judging by the gameplay snippets I've watched. They're all functionally similar, but are different enough that they can be classed as different characters. I think they're more akin to Fox/Falco/Wolf than an Echo Fighter or anything.

| It just struck me today how amazing it's going to be to be able to play home console-standard Smash on the train. Good though SSB3DS was, this is going to be a whole other level, not quite comparable to BotW but up there. |

| I actually find it quite hard to play games in bed! Or at least, without contorting my already disadvantaged back a bit. In the week my room has an armchair right next to my bed, and I always game from the armchair. |

| Only question is: which troll was better? K. Rool vs. Animal Crossing? Both were brilliant, mind! |

| Definitely the Animal crossing one, the AC fan base is nuts and there are so many good reaction videos for it as well. |

| Isabelle seems like the character I never knew I wanted for Smash Bros, she looks so fun to play with and infuriating for my opponents.

| Do you remember the year the WiiU was released, and the E3 presentation attempted to demonstrate NintendoLand games on stage for about 4 hours? It seems like a distant memory now! Well done Nintendo. Well done.
Now Urbosa plz |

Ayup, she looks like the Baby Peach of the Smash world. - The_Jaster wrote:

I never thought I'd say this, but... I'd be interested in seeing some of those reaction videos. |

| Aww, I wanted the dismay at the Smash reveal, followed by the angry relief at the Crossing reveal. She's just happy. |

| I figured she was basically confirmed for the game as an Echo Fighter considering the popularity of Animal Crossing and all, but it seems as though she's a unique fighter! Well, unique in that she's like the Falco to Villager's Fox, but unique enough that the game's not classing her as an Echo Fighter. I like Isabelle too, so big thumbs up for this one.
Who do you reckon we'll have left? I'm predicting two more Echo Fighters - Ken and Shadow the Hedgehog, I reckon - and another new character. Skull Kid was heavily rumoured as was Isaac from Golden Sun, so could be either of those two! |
