I'm a Switch, I'm a Lover, Talk About It With Each Other

I'm going to commit two sins here: double-posting and stealing things from our affiliate.  It does follow on from the previous topic of conversations, however...  GRcade asked about most anticipated announced games for 2019, and I came up with the following ordered list.  I've assumed Metroid Prime 4 slips to 2020 to fit in then ten others I could think of:

Daemon x Machina
Luigi’s Mansion 3
A Hat in Time (on Switch)
Untitled Goose Game
Pokémon Matter/Energy
Yo-Kai Watch 4 (it’ll be out in Japan in 2019 anyway, might make 2021 in Europe if we're lucky)
Yoshi’s Crafted World
Sayonara Wild Hearts
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes (Wild Hearts looks like it might do this game's shtick better than it does)
Cat Quest 2 (The Lady really likes (a) cats and (b) co-op gaming)

Observant peoples will be shocked to discover that they're all Switch games!  So, similar question to you: what announced 2019 Switch games are you most excited for?

Sayonara Wild Hearts is being published by Annapurna Interactive who I really like.

On Switch games in 2019, I've said before what's coming in 2019 is why I've kept mine due to

1. Animal Crossing
2. Fire Emblem Three Houses
3. Pokémon Gen VIII
4. Luigi's Mansion 3
5. Travis Strikes Again
6. Daemon X Machina
7. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3
8. SMT V
9. Bayonetta 3
10. Wargroove

I'd be quite sad if Metroid Prime 4 is pushed into 2020.......but from the games you listed it's probably just Untitled goose game and Sayaonara wild hearts that I'm excited for even though there's a few more in there that I'll likely get and enjoy.

Forgot about TOWN but is 2019 on Nintendo's fiscal reports where Bayo 3 and Metroid 4 are TBA.

I had also forgotten about Town! I'm definitely looking forward to that. Also Sayonara Wild Hearts and A Hat In Time, to steal from others.

I'm going to pretend I omitted Town from my list because I thought it was a 2020 one too... In all honesty I don't know what to think about it. It's Level-5, right? They've been a bit variable in my recent memory. Presentation's always belting though.

It's probably true that I'm not excited for all of my list, but checking back, I actually am genuinely excited for more than I thought! All of them down to YKW4, I'd say; beyond that it's more a mixture of curiosity and hope. As for actual hype, probably only the top three at this stage.

Anyone who doesn't have UGG on their list has no soul, mind.

Bloody hell, what a time to own a Switch.

Yep! After a relatively quiet year for the machine compared to its launch year, I think 2019 is going to be ace for the Switch.

Nintendo, if everything comes out, should have the best year of all three platform holders especially with the big three from Sony being up in the air and Xbox really is Gears 5.

Also agreed with the general '2019 is going to blow 2018 out of the water' sentiment. I don't think 2018 was ever likely to compare to 2017, and machines usually have a quiet launch or post-launch year (and PLG/Smash are pretty good for a quiet year!), but 2019 looks set to shoot it like the proverbial fish in a barrel.

OoT Epona >>>>>> TP Epona

You can't swordfight on OoT Epona, therefore she is inferior.

Both are of course inferior to FATHORSE from BotW, natch.

I think I like TP Epona more. But the best horses will be the villagers in Animal Crossing, which is only 1 of 2 games I really want in 2019.

Talking about gaming horses, we've just got a new trailer for Dragon Quest XI S which sounds like it might be decent and sure it's not going to look as nice as PS4 but new additions make up for the wait.

I totally missed DQXI on PS4 due to it coming out in September (Spider-Man, Tomb Raider etc) but could see me getting it on Switch if out at a decent time.

After enjoying Builders so much I'm well up for it myself, never played the main series but always liked the look of it.

I think they're proper old school JRPGS, why so popular in Japan due to Final Fantasy trying new things compared to DQ.
