Oh, that looks tidy! I've held off on playing Necrodancer beyond playing it for a wee bit to get an idea for how it works. It didn't look like it had the roguelike features from its base game - it looked liked it had hand designed levels and areas!

Maybe the overworld's hand-designed and the dungeons are roguelike? In any case, looks nice. I reckon it could probably get its own thread at this stage if anybody would like to do the honours!

I will rise to the occasion.

Dark Crystal Tactics, looked interesting but where's actual Netflix on Switch?

Witcher III, which is a huge 3rd party port that you can tell looking from a screenshot the cutbacks but to have on the go though is impressive

Res Evil 5 and 6, likely going to be £30 each

Contra: Rogue Corps, yawn also the retro collection is now out

Panzer Dragoon, I forgot we are getting a remake of this but dam it looked so good

Also got a sizzle real with likes of Super Lucky's Tale and Alien Isolation in it

Also hooraaaaaaaaaaay the two Resis get released on Switch.

I doubt we will ever see SAGA comeback due to code being lost but hey Square said similar about Final Fantasy VIII.

There's a lot of good stuff coming soon from what we've seen today, a lot of it seems to be ports but it's stuff I've not played so I'm happy. There's more than just something for everyone on the Switch, what a console.

I loved Jim Henson stuff when I was younger so I'll be keeping an eye on this game and that new netflix show which I believe is a prequel to a 1982 film.

The new Contra did look a bit ropey but I'm all about that retro collection.

Dark Crystal was a real surprise, and though I care not a jot for TBS I'm glad it exists. Same with Contra actually: you can play as a panda cyborg, so I'm not writing it off yet!

RE5 seems to get a bad rap from folks and unfairly so, I'd say. I had a fun time with it - it's very similar to RE4 in gameplay, really. I've heard... less than favourable things about RE6, mind you.

On the note of the games Mas mentioned, I'm staggered they managed to get The Witcher 3 onto Switch. I'm expecting whopping visual downgrades, natch, but it's still cool to see.

It gets a bad rap because it's not Resident Evil and followed Res Evil 4, said many a time if it was called anything else it would have been fine.

720ps 30fps so I heard, for those who care about such things. Also some background detail downgrading.

You can see some a screenshots the cutbacks in textures etc but like I said still dam impressive to have on the go and likely will look fine on the Switches screen.

I personally wouldn't want to play a game like Witcher 3 on the go though, as I feel wouldn't do a game like this justice.

The Witcher 3 is massively story heavy & the combat is fairly simple too so 720p with 30fps (just googled & it was 30 on ps4/XO) should be fine, I've seen some comparison screenshots and while there's a noticeable difference it doesn't look terrible.

If you have multiple consoles then you have an option to get it much cheaper but if Switch is your only option then I say get stuck right in.

I only recently played Resi 4 and as a co-op game, it's good fun. It isn't scary, it is a bit racist and sexist, and I can definitely imagine it being infuriating with an AI companion. With a pal, some beers and good shooting, it's not too bad at all.

I also think it suffered upon release because it was advertised as a grand conclusion to the series' long-running plotlines and it didn't really deliver that very well.

They've definitely found their niche - 30-year olds who want cozy reboots I don't even have nostalgia for the Dark Crystal... do MASK next you c***s

Ah, I'm kidding, it was nice to see a lot of things there that were other people's nostalgia - it doesn't have to be for me. And who knows, I might actually get round to playing the Witcher if it's on my Switch as opposed to my Steam library.

I'd say Resi 5 is fine but a huge let down compared to 4 which makes it seem a lot worse than it is. 6 is mostly garbage though, that was an even bigger let down for me in that I wasn't expecting much until they released a demo for it which totally exceeded my expectations but in the final game it was the best bit and never really came close at any other point.

As somebody not invested in the series at all, boulder punching and COMPLETE GLOBAL SATURATION was a fantastic finale for the existing plot up to that point.

I love how hammy that game is. I was chuckling at big meathead Chris's dialogue in most of the cutscenes. What a game.

He literally doesn't even look human, ridiculous big gorilla of a man. Punching boulders!

More games should end in volcanoes and feature boulder punching QTE scenes. It's the proper way to close out your game.

With music desperately trying to sound as epic as the scene from Star Wars they were obviously cribbing.
