Drunka, I'm very jealous! I like snow up until the point where it squidges down and turns everywhere into a slippery deathtrap; the World-6-from-Super-Mario-Bros-3-esque levels of snow look like a lot of fun though.

Yeah, to be fair Nagano had a winter Olympics so I think they're good at snow . . .

That conflicted feeling when the weather's perfect for you, but you know that the only reason it's this good in spring is because humanity is destroying the climate beyond return.

I'm terrified for summer - I don't do well with the heat and I know I'm going to melt.

I heard on the news Edinburgh was hotter than LA yesterday.

And I was stuck indoors in a building with faulty air conditioning...

It was quality in the southwest of Scotland over the weekend there, good to get down the beach, into the beer garden and along to a BBQ in the roasting hot weather.

Sweaty balls and sweaty tits here in the south east of Scotland. It's due to be 27oC later this morning - that's still a good 10oC less than it's supposed to be right at the bottom of England. But, a lot of those folk there voted for Brexit, so they can burn for all I care.

London didn't! Yep it's grim, a cool 33ºC at the moment. At least my flat is channelling a breeze, and we got some aggressive drizzle earlier that I appreciated.

Thirty-fucking-six, either side of a hump where it might've been thirty-seven at least. I practically slid off the toilet when doing a poo due to the leg-sweats. This is too hot.

I’ve been fortunate enough to have been in cool South Africa for the last couple of weeks, not sure it’s been higher than 20. Dreading my return tomorrow....

Anyway, I am appreciating the breeze and the drizzle right now. Big improvement. Still hovering in the mid-20s, mind.

I've never been as glad to see a thunderstorm as I was last week. The humidity was becoming unbearable, especially indoors at work.

IT'S AUTUMN (effectively)

While I do need my SAD lamp on, and my gloves, this is a huge relief. No more horrible heat, no more feeling like a steamed dumpling, no more bastards with their sub-woofers pumping music everywhere. This is ideal. Not sure if Autumn or Spring's my favourite season, but they're both good.

I asked this question with one of my junior high school classes and after some good natured debate, one kid tried to insist that the seasons are exactly three months so on September first, it is autumn, no questions asked.

Trouble is we now get 'Indian summers' in October. Anyway, I don't buy the '21st September' bobbins. It's Autumn when it feels like Autumn.

Also I get crispy in any form of sun, so while for Jim it may be different, me getting burned is no suggestion that it's still Summer!
