I steal people's vocab, we all know this. Cheers for the verdict boss. I'm worried it's a bit short: Scullion suggested 4-5h. |

| I think it's just there to give you a bit of inspiration for levels to make, it's not presented as being the main feature on the back of the box or on the main menu. It's good to have, different enough from NSMBU Deluxe. |

| Got this last night and spent most of my time making my first level - so that sounds about right!
If any of you are interested Karl on GRcade made this webpage/tool for sharing levels (either your own or others) https://grcade.co.uk/mariomakers/
Let me know your creator IDs (or a level ID so I can get to it) and I'll give you all follows |

| Yes... seeing the great ideas that people have come up with, along with the cute GRcade widget, is tempting me. Mostly it's making me feel how much I want a 'true' 2D Mario game again. |

| Not touched the create mode yet as I'm just enjoying the Story mode with the slight dip in to Course World. I've got an idea though so might work on that soon. So far it's as good as I expected, as Cappa said the story mode is much more ambitious than anything a regular Mario Bros game does, the writing has gave me a few chuckles too. Yet to run in to any garbage levels on Course World either. |

I got the credits on the story mode, it was good. There are seemingly ~120 levels (I haven't finished them all yet) so I'd say it's worth it just for those alone! Took me a good few hours of play to get through. |

| Yeeeeeeees (I am probably going to make the purchase at this point), but... I don't know. I want a consistent art style, I want themed worlds. I want them to try new stuff, because goodness knows they have to, but I just want a proper 2D Mario campaign more than I want this. Sorry. |

| To me, the offering they've given us in SMM2 sounds ideal - what you're describing sounds like territory for the next Mario game and I think it'd be a bit much to ask for that in SMM2. The meat of this dinner is in the course creator options, natch. |

| Oh absolutely, I wouldn't expect any more from a Mario Maker game. My point was more that I want a proper 2D Mario more. Still though, odds are pretty good on my picking this up some time soon. |

| I say give us another proper 3D Mario before going back to years of running to the right Mario
So Kinda forgot that I need to finish story mode to get some or the unlockables |

| I agree, but... I dunno, I'd like both. Is that being 'the entitled gamer'? Maybe it is, but in the last few generations we used to get handheld developers producing 2D Marios and home console developers producing 3D ones (albeit in the case of SM3DW only 3D literally, not in spirit). I'd hope that now that the Switch is both, we'd get both.
Anyway that remains off-topic for the game, which isn't all about that and the fact that the story mode is great is a neat extra. |

| My problem is I got 2D Mario'd out, I just got bored of running to the right.
And yeah, back on track.. I've thought of a title for my next level I want to make but can't figure out how to go about it yet |

Only if you directly complain to Nintendo or an employee of Nintendo. It's OK to like to have a lot of good things |

| I thought story mode was great. Lots of creative ideas, and the different graphical styles and movesets kept things fresh. It didn't feel as cheap as you might imagine this kind of affair to be, with a nice little hub world and funny/charming dialogue from the characters. Also pretty lengthy at 120 or so levels. For me it compared favourably to NSMBU, which I liked a fair bit (best NSMB I think).
Not yet made a course. Dipped into it briefly the other day but don't feel like making something yet. Just been playing endless and other player-made courses, and have gotten kind of addicted to setting records.
