What's the Score?

Spoiler tags should now be fixed, but - is it me or are they thinner than before? Ah well.

I miss this Muss. I hope you can update it again when you have the time/willing, because it is fun.

July would be good to restart being post Not-E3 and stuff like Xeno 3, Live A Live, Stray and Digimon in July.

Right, so. Muss isn't doing these for a while for thoroughly understandable reasons, which include a temporary aversion to "spreadshitin'" (love it). I on the other hand love my spreadsheets, so I'm happy to take these over on a temporary basis until Muss feels in a good enough headspace to start running them again. I won't be calculating previous rounds or anything: I'll leave that to a recovered Muss. Nor will I be calculating overall scores and that. However, if people are willing to let me just run them on a month-by-month basis for now, I'm happy to. Can even make a mini "Balla-season" if Muss would rather I didn't interfere with his shenanigans.

If you are willing, the games I'm thinking about doing this month are Xenoblade 3, Live-A-Live, Digimon Survive, and Time on Frog Island. I'm up for other suggestions though: the first two are pretty set in stone, the other two are me being unable to see anything else in Mas' thread of interest that isn't DLC or a re-release. I might have missed something!

Stray I'd like to have done, as 1st big new PlayStation Plus Essential game and its currently most wishlisted game on STEAM but will do Frog if need be

Yeah, I'm up for a Balla edition of the game!

Frog Island has reviews as it's now out, seems like a 7/10 sort of game.

Stray - releases July 19th
PlayStation/Steam game about a cat.  Steam anticipation seems high.

Live-A-Live - releases July 22nd
Old JRPG gets fresh lick of paint.  It was pretty revolutionary for the time though.

Digimon Survive - releases July 29th
The Duke Nukem Forever of Digimon games, this is finally nailed on for a release date.  Hopefully.  Features 'social links' to level up your Digimon, and quite a bit of talky stuff.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - releases July 29th

Aw, shat it slightly because I was away last week and now I've seen review scores for a few of these. After pressing for someone to do it! Soz babes.

No worries, you've not been on here! It's everybody else I'm a bit anditookthatpersonally.gif about. Did I put this up too late? Did Muss not actually want me to caretake, and he told everyone but me? I'll still tally up Smurf and Mas and myself, but... yeah.

I just think interest has waned a bit with it being away a few months that's all.

DO NOT TAKE IT PERSONALLY - I think (a) what Smurf said, because it stopped for a bit people might've missed it out, (b) there's a lot of scrollage about and it may be that people were looking for a Muss avatar, (c) I ain't been here for weeks anyway there's too much real world shit going on

Well, I hope that's accurate.  Scores for this month:

Stray - 84.  People really did fall for the lil kitty.  So did I, to be frank - none of us quite appreciated how much people were going to like this.  
Live-A-Live - 82.  It's survived the test of time!  Either that or nostalgia and a pretty veneer have papered over the cracks.  Again, one we all undershot: I was closest at three away.
Digimon Survive - 80.  Despite the controversy over its genres, with the critics Survive has come out trumps, just.  Mas got this one bang on.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3 - 88.  This month's top game.  Was there any doubt?  Smurf and I were one point away, but again Mas smashed it.

And the results:
Mas: 2-6-0-0 8
Balla: 2-3-3-1 9
Smurf: 3-4-7-1 15

Mas walks away with two dead on and victory in this one-off round!  Smurf meanwhile is left thanking his stars that this won't contribute to anything larger, having low-balled them all.  Thanks so much to the two of you for participating!
