On a more positive note that segment with the Rhodes family & hhh/Stephanie/Authority (btw I like that name for them) was brilliant and I'm so glad it will just be a tag team match vs Rollins & Reigns as well.

Agreed with all that - part of me wanted Dusty in the ring too but then I remembered he's 70.  

Oh, somewhat shameless here, but I did a big write-up of RAW and I'd love some intelligent wrestling fans like yourselves to have a gander. It's here if you want to read, but I won't be offended if you can't be arsed.

Great review Jay, will definitely be looking to read any more that you do.

Thanks for the read.  I'll be posting them every Tuesday, I could post them here during the usual post-RAW chatter we have if you all want, but I don't want to inundate the thread with blogspam.

Anyone else really not psyched whatsoever for Battleground? I've had a peek at the updated card after Smackdown, and it looks pretty bad. I'm sure the Rhodes/Shield match will be great, the Orton/Bryan match should be decent as should the Ryback/Punk match, but oh god, the rest of the card...

Sort of feeling like another PPV thats getting in the way of current storytelling. Should be an okay event though.


Couple of videos I stumbled upon last night, that I thought we worth sharing. First is The Great Khali VS former WWE star The Giant Silva https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WhjWr9nFvK8 - check out the movement on Khali!  

The second is Santino Marella in his previous, serious persona of Boris Alexiev https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=wZMrOV22rRc - the comments give the impression that this could have been the greatest gimmick in WWE history if it were used (then again, You Tube comments on failed and untested WWE gimmicks often do), but I quite like this, be nice if they could get it used on TV some day.

Jesus, did Khali actually run the ropes?! And I reckon it could have been big too - Santino definitely has charisma and mic skills, and judging by that video he wrestled psycho enough to pull it off. Still, it would have deprived us of that amazing debut in Milan where he won the IC belt.

Currently Watching Battleground, so far it's not to bad.

I don't think I've been this pleased to hear Cena is coming back, looks like the WHC might get some glamour back brought to it. Also means he's not coming back for rumble and winning it again.

That crowd were right into to too which made it even better, might be early days but the crowd didn't seem too bothered about them on raw.

No WWE has been good but you look at the WHC which is the old prestigious title which a few years ago the likes of undertaker, hhh, edge, orton, punk all held. Now it's people like ADR and Ziggler, I like ziggy but he's not a world champ. Cena even though I don't like him he is a world champ with holding it would bring prestige back to it and possibly better feuds.

His return is way too sudden for my liking. They need to keep him away from the WWE title now though, otherwise all the momentum DB and Orton built up will be to waste.

I'm just glad it means he'll be taking a backseat to Bryan and Orton, he could have very easily returned to be involved with the fued with HHH but instead looks like he'll be used to build up Del Rio even more who I can see holding on to the WHC for quite a bit.

After weeks and weeks of getting bored of Big Show's involvment and constant crying like a bitch I absolutely loved that he KO'd HHH on Raw. Even The Miz has appeared more likeable since joining in the fued although I'm not sure how I feel about the Wyatt Family possibly showing up to back the authority a bit like the Shield have.

I can't say I agree with you on the ADR & Ziggler part, in fact Ziggler's WHC reign may have been longer had he managed to bite his tongue in certain interviews the problem in my opinion is they haven't built up enough big time faces to go after the WHC so they can then spark an interesting feud which is why they have fell back on the old reliable Cena.

Really? it was Kalisto and going by Wikipedia it's not Tyson Kidd.

Haven't seen Tyson Kidd in bloody ages so I'm not sure, but I don't think it was Kalisto in any case.

Hmm...Kidd did have a major knee tear a while back, looked way too muscle bound for Kidd so maybe it was Maddox?

Isn't Kidd cleared to wrestle now though? I think he was wrestling a few weeks ago against Sami Zayn at a house show. I'd love if it were Maddox though - he should get into the ring more often.

I hope it wasn't Kidd, he deserves better than to be used as part of a cobbled together ocassional jobber tag team.
