| I don't think the Smash world would have any qualms about 3D-ifying the earlier models. Do you? |

| Ridley's size mattering one way or the other doesn't add up if you ask me, in a game where a character the size of a handbag dog is comparable in size to something as tall as a young teenager which are both in turn roughly the same size as something shorter than that same teenager I really don't buy Ridley's size having to be consistent with samus one bit.
As far as I'm concerned it's an excuse wheeled out because he didn't get in, not an actual reason for him being omitted. I wouldn't be surprised if the actual reason is something like they don't feel they can do ridley justice, and since they nowadays have bosses from various franchises they instead choose to represent him in those fights instead. |

| UK date for SSBU confirmed?
(Oh, and about the release dates - there's some precedent for assuming that a UK date will be around or similar to the US date in this case, because SSB3D's was. In general, though, you can't make that assumption, although Ninty in general seem to be getting fairly good at simultaneous or earlier-in-the-UK Western releases.
And an approximate UK date doesn't tell us much unless we have no idea when the game's coming out anyway - although again, "Winter" is a pretty vague window compared to "October", say.) |

| I was just basing the USA release off the fact bayo 2, smash 3ds, pokemon's, 3D world, kart 8 to name a few have or will be coming around the same time. That I end up making the assumption that Smash WiiU would be the same day which looks like it will, so I was right again just like with bayo 2. |

| Anyway, since it's a French site that confirmed the date, let's play a little game I like to call "Guess the French Smasher!" (WITHOUT looking 'em up, you cheaters.)
"Je lutte pour mes amis." "Regarde la puissance de l'aura!" "L'heure pour jouer est terminée, Renard-Etoile." "RONDOUDOU!" "Le huh! Le hah! Le heyah!"
(My 7000th post is a collection of rubbish Franglaisms. Acceptable.) |

| I'm quite impressed that Google Translate has "Rondoudou" in its vocabulary, actually. (Although I did know it beforehand. What - have none of you played Smash in French/German before?) Also, Sakurai left the Climbers out for a reason. This implies that they won't be coming in as DLC either, which renders that particular rumour void - good, because (as mentioned previously) I'd be happy to see Snake not make the cut. I'm less happy about the article saying, "There are no planned announcements or instalments for this particular series any time soon." Bang goes my giant mountain exploration sim., then. |

| To anyone that's interested this seems to be the Tier list as of a few day's of playing the 3DS version in Japan - Tier List, characters you might not of know of yet :
This is list I've made from a few different sources Top Tier: Greninja, Duck Hunt Dog, Pac-Man, Bowser, Zero Suit Samus High Tier: Rosalina, Villager, Dr. Mario, , Little Mac, Bowser Jr, Meta Knight, Robin, Mario, Shulk Mid-High Tier: Captain Falcon, Dark Pit, Lucario, Lucina, Marth, Sonic Low-Mid Tier: Sheik, Falco, Fox
But some are still unsure where some lie due having not a enough time yet here is a tier list from a Smash player who's clocked 260 For Glory battles with an 85% win rate:
S: Greninja, Duck Hunt Dog, Rosalina, Pac-Man, Bowser A: Villager, Dr. Mario, Zero Suit Samus, Little Mac, Sheik B: Captain Falcon, Dark Pit, Lucario That's more or less it for the higher tier characters
I'm disappointed not to see palutena up there but robin looks to be a viable option, also by the time we get the game on 3DS the the WiiU. It could of been patched and all the things change.

| I don't give a toss about tiers - I've seen competitive Smash players play as so-called terrible characters and win, anyway. |

| I'm actually quite interested, although I'd like a link to source please Mas. It shows how the balance has changed - Fox was fairly high up either last gen. or the one before, and now he's apparently quite bad. The opposite has happened to the perennially disappointing Mario and Bowser. And Meta Knight, only in high tier? How the mighty have fallen!
But you definitely shouldn't use those to determine who's good or bad for your own playstyle - that can only be done by playing the game. Out of the five available characters in the demo., I'm definitely a Link fan, yet he doesn't show up on the list! |

| Well if you are good, Jay doubt you would suck with a low tier. But really put up as these are the character's your likely to see a lot online or in tournaments.
On source Balla, I'm at work at the moment but I just Googled Top Tier Smash 3DS with most of the info coming from the community in Japan and Mew2King (I think that's what he's called) has found out.
I'm of course going to play as everyone but let's say I find link and zero suit samus my two best, I'm now more likely to use ZSS in games knowing she's top tier. |

| I'm glad to see my new main that will finally replace marth is considered high tier on first inspections, although I'd be maining him even if he didn't get the stamp of approval because I can see the future. Also because I don't base my mains on rankings but fun factor and said swordsman has everything I like about marth but with extra features. |

| That list will see changes, If Bowser maintains that level i'll eat my bunny hood.
I've never cared for our obssesive necessity for 'tiers' and to this date its always been about speed.
The reason you can't see Link is because he is still slow and has abysmal jump height. This is offset by his impressive reach, however great players can easily ghost past his attacks. |

| I couldn't care less about these tiers, I ended up switching between a good 5 or 6 characters last time around and it's likely to be more this time round with the increased roster, I'm already a big fan of Villager and Mega Man. |

| Had a little play of the demo today. It was smooth and pretty and fun, and it will be nice to have smash on the go so I can learn the characters and so on, but smash will forever be all about four friends on a sofa experiencing ludicrous, bombastic, over the top action on the big screen. |

| Probably known to a lot of you but there are still multiple ways to unlock the characters. They also unlock a lot faster now. |

| - Leak Info on the U:
Right if got some info apparently like I said before if you own both versions of the game you'll unlock some characters but now I've got info on them and one more.
Ridley has no wing's on the ground but his up B move / recover grows them and he flies a bit, he will be based on Other M. Chorus Men you control the conductor and move the rest in pikmin style. Dixie a mix of Donkey & Diddy but has helicopter recover move & grabs with it and her final smash she uses a guitar from donkey konga. Mewtwo slightly heavier & bigger then in melee his final smash is mega form. Impa based on skyward sword a mix of zelda & sheik
There will be 55 stages with 40 of them being new such as Plautena's Temple
The main game mode is called Tower of Smash, there's also challenges based a seriers, tournament mode, stage builder and break the targets with each character having there on unique one.
You can transfer your custom characters over to the Wii U version over from 3DS.
Remember take this all with a pinch of salt but this is the second person to leak about the extra characters, and this guy is also known like the last to get quite a lot right. I don't know if there's something in the code and people can see on the 3DS version Ridley etc.

Seems a bit suspect to me considering Diddy's got a Dixie colour palette swap already. Mind you, Mario still has a Wario swap so there could be something to that.

Massive pinch of salt taken. Wouldn't mind it being true, not at all... but need more than that. |
