| No, I get that. This is something brand new, whereas Mario 3D World looks very much like what we've seen before. |

Well, if it helps, this article claims that TW101 is 20 hours long. http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/18/the-wonderful-101-is-about-20-hours-long/ |

| Twenty hours is perfectly reasonable - I tend to take a few hours over what reviews say anyway. Still hoping it doesn't land in shops at £50, mind you... I'm always hoping for that, though. The £50 price point is ridiculous. |

| Just preordered this myself (at Amazon). Really looking forward to it.
I hope Nintendo give it the the coverage Pikmin 3 got, however, even if it doesn't receive wider marketing. Pikmin 3 had pretty much a whole Nintendo Direct devoted to it back in early May, where Iwata went on for ages talking about various in-game features.
Even Lego City had more to big it up, months before its launch. |

| Had a bash on this earlier today at Hyper Japan. I can confirm that I was rubbish... but will still be getting the game. There are some very light puzzle elements on top of the light RTS moments, which are nestled in between the main business of beating up stuff. The only real downside is that it might prove too pacy for my old and addled brain. |

| Interestingly, the Hyper Japan demo wasn't the demo that was at Eurogamer. |

| First review courtesy of The Guardian. (Though they have since deleted it.) Also sounds like a game that really couldn't be done without the gamepad - this is good news. I'm sick of the "Nintendo should drop the gamepad! They haven't justified it! A map isn't enough!" forum arguments. - Quote :
- It's in these moments that Platinum displays a mastery of the Wii U hardware hitherto unseen, even in Nintendo's homegrown titles. One especially memorable section has you controlling a giant spacecraft on the television screen by marshalling the 101 onto directional pressure pads in a cockpit that's rendered on the Wii U pad's screen. If this weren't enough to juggle, you must simultaneously battle enemies in both the cockpit on the pad and in the skies on the TV screen. It is a genuinely novel gameplay invention and gives a true taste of the Wii U's untapped potential and promise.
NEOGAF has a thread where some of the review text still exists. http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=646819 |

| Yesssss. Will be good to try this game out: I'm rather relying on this to be my second top-notch Wii U game. |

| Demo has a very steep learning curve, but after a while it starts clicking. This image sums it up: As someone else pointed out, it has 15 uses - so you can play the game once every day until its out. |

| I had fun with the demo but it really just throws you into the chaos & says "figure it out" I found the HUD really confusing at first too despite having seen numerous videos of it, but aye still fun. |

| Echoing other people's opinions: the demo. is dead confusing (not sure how I managed to get a platinum in the first mission: rest assured, it wasn't repeated). Also, the bit in a building seems vaguely pointless. But the combat's great, and seems very tactical once you actually understand it. |

It strikes me as one element of a larger mechanic- like indoor bits will be more involved in the real game, but the demo's stuck to one bit and chosen the simplest. |

| I've heard you can unlock Wonder Yellow and Wonder Pink in the demo, and there's also an extra hidden mission elsewhere too. So much content. |

| First thing I did when I got back to Blighty was download this and give it a whirl. First thought: oh my god, this is insane, what's going on? Second thought: I can't wait to get this.
Also had a little go on multiplayer with a mate. It was a fun little blast, shame it doesn't look like you can co-op story mode. |

| Just tried the demo for the first time (I know) and it's put my fears to rest. The hectic pace of the bit I tried in Hyper Japan caught me out, and the chap stood nearby who was supposed to be helping seemed like he'd been distracted (possibly by some cosplay; my mind was elsewhere). Although the Wonder Hand rotating parts seemed to slow things down too much, I am now certain to get it on day one. |
