| Few more scores: - Spoiler:
Nintendo Life - 9 IGN - 7.4 EuroGamer - 8 Gamespot - 8 Metro Gamecentral - 0 (probably, stupid prick)
Not as high as I was expecting, given the hype from some Brit journos on 'The Twitter'. Not that it really matters; we're all still getting it, right?

| Yep, it would've needed to be some really rotten reviews to make me change my mind. |

Yup. The demo. appealed to me, and I didn't find the controls too complicated (just the general gameplay!), so I'll be picking it up. For me, this is a case where the demo. may well have sold me the game. |

Agreed. One review highlighted the fact that the drawing shapes aspect (which I didn't even know you could do; I've always used the right control stick) was a bit like Okami. Well, darn, trying to emulate one of the finest adventure games on the Wii! What were they thinking? |

| The demo has actually put me off a little bit, to the extent that I'm not wanting to spend £33 on it. ShopTo vouchers are bringing it down to about £17, which helps. Still, history dictates that I won't tolerate a game for long if I've got a constant battle with the controls though, no matter how good it seems to be beneath (Kid Icarus Uprising, I'm looking at you). |

| Took me a while to get used to the controls, I'm going to read some reviews and see what all the issues are and I want to know about the length. |

Not quite. His review, from the looks of things, finds the same things wrong and right as CVG. The controls seem to be a fairly major issue, sadly, although I do relish the challenge of new control schemes (I too am looking at KIU, with slightly less contempt). Here's a CVG reviews round-up. |

| MetaCritic it's 79 based on 12 reviews, with it being the controls seemingly being the issue with most. Like you guys said this could be another kid icarus great game spoiled but it's control scheme (which i found fine) for some. I'm paying £29 for 101 and not much else coming out in Aug/Sep peaking my interest it still has to be a must. Only thing the really bugs me is the is the length of the game seems to be around the 12hr mark but with replay value of getting medals and different routes on missions it can last a lot longer but I don't if I will be bothered going to missions. |

| I'm certain that I read a review last night that asked why many of these weapon commands couldn't just be done with a button press. I ask this too. I like the challenge of new control schemes as well, but I'm not up for any illogical daftness with them (the content of the game can be in my opinion, but with the controls it's never cool). Mind you, I'm speaking before I've really gave this a chance. My fifteen minutes with the demo were maddening, but it deserves more time than that. |

| Early console syndrome? How many early Wii games used motion inputs where button presses would have done? (Even later ones weren't immune: SMG's spin attack did not need to be mapped to a shake. Same with DKCR's roll.) Although that said, there are more forms to select from than there are unused buttons on the pad, and the size of the shape dictates a power-speed trade-off, so buttons aren't a complete answer. The right stick seems to be the best replacement, and it worked well for me in the demo.
I'm trying to think of how else KIU could have been done on the 3DS without the Circle Pad Pro (aiming and movement without two analogue sticks is a tough one, although the Primes managed it - maybe a lock-on? Wouldn't work in the air, but might have made the ground stages simpler), but that's another controls issue for another day. |

| I've just put in my pre-order, as for the controls from my time with the demo (played through about 3 times) I wouldn't say they are awkward like KIU's just that there is a big learning curve & the thing I have most trouble with is dodging/countering with the ZL ZR buttons. |

| I actually thought the controls were easier when I played it at Eurogamer last year (E3 2012 demo) compared to this demo. Not sure why.
Still going to get this, since there's nothing else quite like it and I'm not expecting a perfect game anyway.
Do wish it were shorter, though. |

| I actually didn't have an issue with the controls when I played the demo, so I was kinda surprised to come away and learn that they were the major issue that was putting people off. |

| This game is just weird. I like the gameplay but the story seems like some kind of parody. Its definitely different I'll give it that.
Edit for Jaster, the music in the intro is to die for. |

| I played the demo twice through last night. Once I'd got the hang of the controls, I felt duty-bound to rush through it a second time and I'd improved beyond all recognition. Good stuff, and the sign of a fun demo!
Looking forward to playing the full game soon, but first I must find time to finish DuckTales. |

| I've somehow managed to rack up 7 hours on this by Sunday morning, time flies whenever I play this game.
I've really been enjoying it so far, particularly the sheer amount of variety that was packed into the first few levels (the first two main bosses have been stunning, too). The controls have also not bothered me, by the end of Operation 001-B I could pretty much perfectly draw the shapes on the analogue stick. I also like the many parallels this game has to Bayonetta design-wise.
Though Operation 003 has frustrated me quite a bit. There's a fair few enemies in this that are just downright unfair, with attacks that seem undodgeable to me, or with cues which don't really communicate to the player when they are going to attack.
I lost an entire health bar fighting these two turtle enemies at the end of 003-A. |

| I am not enjoying this. I'm questioning so much about it - the sort of things that'll be persistent - and I'm not even three hours in. Messy stuff. |

| Started played up-to the three headed dragon. It's fun but I've not really had problems with the controllers when in actual brawling it's when i have to make a chain or something. It's so unresponsive I died 3 times on that dragon as my group wouldn't go where I wanted. |
