| Nsmbu allowed a player to create platforms for other players so i'm not letting you have that one but fair point. They haven't REALLY used it very much but to not use it at all.....that's what i find odd. |

| If a metroid prime is in the works, I can see that being a big gamepad user.
As for DK, it'll be nice to have another bright, chirpy Nintendo game to break up all the dark, miserable ps3 games I'm playing at the moment. |

| Not long to go, now! I'm extremely interested to see how this one reviews.
Even if I trust reviews less now than I ever have before. *coughMario3DWorldcough* |

| I was watching a little gameplay video of this, and I'm actually quite excited now. It brought back memories of the last one as well, which was similarly a game I didn't really think about until it came out then it was brilliant fun. |

| CVG's podcast is also very optimistic about TF. I'm more excited about it now than I ever have been. |

| I'm liking how the developers are playing around with more new ideas per level than before. Had a look at ONM's top 10 moments (though sadly I feel like some of the surprise has been spoiled for me) and there's some sweet ideas in there. |

| The reviews are starting to roll in: 8 from CVG, while others seem to be averaging an 8 or slightly higher. That'll do me! |

| Scores are all good and well, but thematically the reviews so far indicate that there's a real lack of creative ingenuity and that the difficultly is sometimes pitched too high. Nothing makes me put the controller down faster than an unoriginal game that gets too hard...we'll see. |

| Reviews were more positive than I expected. (Destructoid gave it 10/10.) However, the negative reviews seem to be using the sales potential as an excuse to mark it down. "Its a good game, but just another platformer and that wont save Wii U". |

| Arthur F. Sake. I can understand Cappa's complaints (although DKCR was pretty tricky itself - CVG seems to suggest that, mostly due to it taking two hits to kill in transport sections, TF is easier); but by that reasoning, every game that's not a killer app. will be rated down. It's not like having a library of lots of good games, along with the great ones, is a reason to buy a console, after all! (And another for good measure.) Here's a round-up of reviews. |

| In fairness, Balladeer, those aren't my complaints - that was me simply emphasising what I've taken from the reviews I've read so far.

I had to check it out (for curiosity's sake), and, right enough, I see Axis has quoted Metro Gamecentral there. Hope David Jenkins doesn't get paid for that sort of analysis. I know he has his fans and that fronkhead is quite high on him, but I really think he's rank-rotten. Still, that's another debate...! |

I wasn't actually referring to any specific review but a lot of them have said similar. I also think this EuroGamer [7/10] comment by PurpleHaizu has to be the greatest comment ever. (No, its not one of my accounts.) - Quote :
Terrific review. Glad to see there are people out there who understand that general lack of innovation or change should not be rewarded with high review scores. Time to wise up Nintendo, we don't want the same thing you're peddling anymore.
Though seriously Tom you should be commended on your stance on, for lack of a better word "saminess". I mean just look a that guy, (whom I can't seem to remember his name atm) he reviewed the last three or so Assassins Creed games for Eurogamer, gave them all nothing but 9s and 10s yet they were just the same old yearly iterations that Ubi seem adamant in putting out every holiday season. That guy certainly doesn't get it (the way you and I do Tom) and I wouldn't trust his reviews in a million years.
Heck I'm going to look that guys name up and give him a piece of my mind......*looks reviewers name up*......oh dear.

Yes, that was badly put. "Reservations" or "worries" is probably a better word. |

| What I thought from reviews, very good game but not much changed. I'm looking for a price drop for me to buy this.
Actually looking I can get £28 trade in for SM3DW and this is £35m so for the £7 I might get it. |

| Got this today, thanks to ShopTo. I can confirm that the gamepad screen is completely off when you play on TV. No sound through the gamepad. Even the power light is off. |

| I also had this delivered earlier, courtesy of ShopTo. It wasn't honestly a game I'd thought much about before it arrived sometime today, but when I opened it up I couldn't help but a strong feeling of being like 'yeah...I know exactly what I'm getting with this'. And that's really how I feel about it, an hour in. I've definitely not experienced anything to really dislike about the game itself, but I'm near overwhelmed with the feeling that it's time for something different. Do something new. Mix it up a bit. Change things about a bit. And so on. |

| Depends on how many they got in doesn't really if it's 1 or 2 then not so good but if it's 20-30 then not bad etc |

| After watching the Expert Super Guide of this earlier this has jumped right up my to get pile. It just looks like brilliant platformy fun. Might get around to 100% DKCR soon. |

| Polished off world one earlier today & it really is great platforming fun, love how it looks like each supporting character will have their uses in certain levels.
The controls really are on point, so much better having the roll mapped to an actual button. |
