| Mr Dyke has set England the goal of winning 2022 world cup which is 4 tournaments time but we still won't be winning. |

That's the one in Qatar, right? |

| As great as it is to gloat over I don't think there's actually any United fans on this forum what with us all being a collection of outstanding individuals, great game though and brilliant atmosphere too, hopefully they stick to this standard now after a shaky start. |

| I do like seeing Man Utd get beat, in other news good to see Pukki on the scoresheet for Celtic again. |

| On the subject of new Celtic players, how is Biton getting on? Didn't realise it straight away but he was in the City youth team a few years back. |

| I honestly think Craig Levein's Scotland would have had a decent shout of qualifying from England's group. England from as far back as I can remember always get disgracefully easy group draws that they make absurdly difficult for themselves. There was never any doubt that they were doing to cruise through that group and finish top, but - Christ almighty - they made it look tricky. I don't think they'd have done it in a group with Belgium and Croatia, but that doesn't matter.
Will they win the World Cup? That's the fear. |

| England get easier groups due ranking, but were not actually that good look at the record under Roy lots of draws. But the group wasn't that easy with like of Poland & Ukraine no mickey mouses.
There's no chance we will win the world cup anyone that thinks so needs there head checked, with teams like Brazil, Spain, Germany, Argentina, just to name a few. |

| I genuinely think the England team is better than the England team think they are. They could win the world cup but not under Hodgson, it would take a bold manager who isn't a yes man, the fact that England played for a draw in a few games in qualifying when they're the top seed says it all. |

| Bold mangers won't get the the job as England never had the greatest England manger in Clough. It will always be a yes man, and who else is there apart from roy if were not going back to a foreign manger. |

| I missed your post on Biton there smurfy, think he's only had one appearance in a cup game & I reckon it might be tough for him to break into that midfield with the likes of Ledley, Brown & Commons in it. |

| England don't have the manager or the players to mount a genuine challenge for the World Cup. I'll get behind them but they're not good enough at the moment. |

| Poor Biton, gets subbed on for his first champions league appearance for Celtic & is sent off in 11 minutes.
No doubt it was a reckless challenge but never a red for me especially how lenient the ref was up until that point in the game. |

| tbh not seen enough of him (only 11 minutes , natch) to judge how good he is, he's a bit lanky for a midfielder though. |

| City are thorough the last 16, and if groups were to stay the same were either playing Real Madrid, PSG, Atlético, or Barca. |

| So how's everyone's team doing then,
For Smurf & I seems like that blip at that start of the season wasn't much as the Quadruple is still on.
I think that would be a very hard task but doing the league & league cup double does seem quite likely but very weary of Chelsea in the league.
Also anyone ready for transfer deadline, I hope we get a defender in. |

| Not sure a defender is needed, I'd give Lescott a good run, get him to re-build that brilliant partnership he had with Kompany two seasons ago whilst Nastasic takes his time to develop because he's took a real step back this season. Demichelis to be used sparingly... |

| Celtic take their unbeaten run to 22 games, and clean sheets to nine, in the league. 15 points clear at the top of the table.
So aye, no bad. |

| All the chat around here is about Alexei Eremenko coming back to Kilmarnock. A lot of people delighted round here, and fully expect Eremenko and Boyd to link up and score 744 goals before the end of the season. He'd have replaced Yohan Cabaye at Newcastle, no bother. I remember publicly announcing that Eremenko (in his first Killie spell) was the best player I'd ever seen 'live', before publicly being reminded that I've seen Andrés Iniesta, Samuel Eto'o and Dean Keenan, amongst a list of many others. |

You seen we were linked to a CB from Porto. I like Demichelis think he's better then Nastasic but do agree should go back to Lescott & Kompany. The best I've seen live either Charlie Adam or Gazza. |

| The best players I've seen live are Gianfranco Zola (although he was completely muzzled by Des Lyttle) and Dennis Bergkamp. ~~~ Yesterday morning I was wished a Happy Jim White Day by a student. Forest, my team, came good with a number of signings before the close of the window. We're well-placed at the moment and can hopefully stay there, if not get a little higher up the table. Leicester, though... Have your teams come out of the transfer window well, guys? |
