| We did nothing, but didn't really need anyone but still think we need a CB but that doesn't matter that much if the other team hasn't got the ball and we can score what seems an avg of 4 goals a game.

The old Newcastle United policy. *nods sagely* |

| We will see soon,
Sky's Spanish expert Guillem Balague, reckons that City and Barca are the best two teams in the world at the moment. |

| Having now seen the mighty Barcelona I can safely say that Dortmund are still the best team to visit the Etihad, feel like we were really hard done by. It's not over yet though... |

| I only caught last ten minutes of the game but to find-out we were playing with 10 men most of the second half against the arguably best team in world. I thought we played great, shame about the second goal though. It will be hard to score 3 at the Nou Camp but anything can happen.
But ohh well domestic treble can still be done. |

| We probably had the better chances until the sending off which I should add was a free kick, not a penalty, Demichelis wouldn't have even made the challenge otherwise, so much incompetent reffing once again in Europe, who needs Fair Play rules when Blatter can just get the refs on side against the teams he doesn't like?
But anyway to the 2nd leg, the second goal could have been a blessing in disguise, will mean that City have to play their own game and just go for it and the best teams always play their own game, there's no way we'll score enough goals playing 4-5-1 again like we did tonight, has to be 4-4-2. |

| While you could argue that he's been treated poorly (I'd say he has), that he deserved more time and that he inherited a squad that Ferguson seemed to acknowledge was in decline, it's still a remarkable achievement that Moyes has managed to take a championship-winning squad consisting of Rooney, Van Persie, De Gea, Kagawa and even Giggs, Carrick and Vidic, add Mata, Janujaz and Fellaini, and still finish seventh. Moyes never looked like getting much out of them either - the tactics, substitutions and motivational techniques were poor, and the desperately-needed signings were in the wrong positions. |

| I've been upset all day, he was the best thing to happen to Utd ever. Also since he's left Everton they've got there highest point's total ever and could finish 4th.
With the season all most over it will be World Cup time. |

| Ah, I can see it now. A nice early group stage exit for England! Beaten by all including Costa Rica. Look, we aren't the best at keeping the ball and our midfield severely lacks creativity even when compared to the more lowly nations that have qualified (I mean come on, Carrick? Ha!). So when our goal threat is clearly going to come from crosses + set pieces why do we not pick the strikers to take advantage of that? Just throw Carrol + Lambert up front. Welbeck is going to make the squad, and it bloody well beggars belief. Hopefully, Hodgeson will grow a spine and pick some more young players, especially Lallana. Otherwise I can see our main threats being Gerrard+Baines free kicks. As for Moyes, it is a shame. The players definitely deserve some stick, the squad is simply not good enough (Young, Welbeck, Jones, Cleverly) and the more senior players like Van Persie have not conducted themselves very well. |

| Well a few Liverpool fans in work reckon England should just play all there English players then add Hart, Baines etc around them. I doubt Carrick will go to the World Cup, I would take (If all fit) GK Hart, Foster, Forster LB Baines, Shaw CB Cahill, Jagielka, Not sure on the other two CBs RB Walker, Johnson Mid Gerrard, Lallana, Barkley, Milner, Lampard, Wilshire, Sterling, Huddlestone Fwd: Rooney, Sturridge, Lambert, Rodriguez I doubt we will get out of the group, So at work a few of us are cheering on Belgium. If we could get a few of us on it we could do a World Cup sweepstakes and have someone to cheer on when England go out and if your Scottish |

| I mostly agree with your squad Mas.
I have to say I would drop Milner, he is good technically but did you see him in South Africa? He looked tired after 10 minutes on the pitch and his speed is lacking, I would say (bearing in mind im a Newcastle fan) take Sunderland's Adam Johnson instead, he has pace and can cross well.
While I would take Rooney all likeliness is that he will look like a bereft dumpling at the top of the pitch just like in South Africa.

| Have you not seen milner in city's last few game's, he's been excellent and he can play almost anywhere on the pitch. That's why I'd take him. |

| I'd take Milner definitely, very versatile and always gives 100%, England has very few players like him. Rodriguez will miss the world cup out of injury won't he which will open the door for Welbeck who despite being rather crap for United actually seems to be one of England's top performers at times, would rather have him than Rooney in all honesty. Also don't get the big fuss over Wilshere but I'm sure he'll be in the starting 11 for England somehow, Carrick or Barry would definitely be a better choice despite their age. Adam Johnson is a no no for me too, has potential but never realised it. |

| Yeah A-Rod will but I was saying if all fit. Welbeck like you said will likely go instead now. I also don't get the deal with Wilshere but he will be in the starting 11.
To me the team is Hart Johnson Cahill Jagielka Baines Lallana Gerrard Wilshire Sterling Rooney Sturridge |

| If I were England manager, I'd take Francis Jeffers, Kieron Dyer, Paul Konchesky, Darius Vassell and Michael Ricketts to the World Cup, and see if Gabriel Obertan has an English great-granny. |

| Hahaha, who would ever pick any of them?.... Oh...
Screw it, call up Joey Barton and we can twitter the opposition into submission!
As for Barry.. I'd have to say no. We don't want to bring players who will definitely get a match ban during the tournament, though that in itself is optimistic as we would need to get through the groups.
Hart or Big Forster? Hmmm.

| Hart, he's gotten back to his best after being dropped earlier in the season, on his day he's a match winner (or match not-loser to be more exact). |

| Why not take Forster as well? Even if he isn't first choice he'd be the perfect back up if needed. |

I have not forgot that Ibrahimovic goal yet... |
