| I've been liking the slight nod to the previous Doctors recently |

| The best visuals (albeit not the prettiest) were on the mummy, in my opinion. Foul-looking beast, as it should be. |

| Yes, that was great stuff. Good reveals, and some classic Doctor fast thinking to rid the train of the mummy. Good times. |

| The mummy episode really was an excellent, fast paced episode. I actually thought Frank Skinner did a great job despite him normally coming across as a bit of a plonker. I seriously hope Clara won't be going off on her merry way come Christmas, though. The back and forth she has with the Doctor is great.
"Listen" has been the standout episode for me so far, from the Doctor 'borrowing' the caretakers cup of tea all the way to the reveal at the end of the episode. Oh, and the outburst about Where's Wally made me chuckle. |

| Flatline was another fine piece of work, I thought, barring The Doctor's slightly over the top defeat of the monster. Another interesting note: rarely does The Doctor ever call his opponents "monsters". At any rate, things are heating up in the Whoniverse; as I mentioned on Twitter, let the timey wimey ball not be dropped before the end of the series! |

| Cripes, I forgot to do my weekly bitching/slightly surprised acknowledgement of class. Although this series, I'm not surprised any more. Yup, Flatline was another good 'un; and I actually liked the OTT defeat of the monsters. Showed the Doctor's boiling white rage. - Next episode looks like:
...a return to children, sadly. I'm fully prepared for an absolute stinker.

| People started out being really down on this series but other than the first episode being twice as long as it needed to be and the Dalek one being the same old Dalek stuff, I've found it to be some of the best television Who has ever given us. |

| Agreed with that. Best series in a while, in my opinion. I'm still expecting it to collapse every episode, but most of them have defied my expectations. |

| Thirded. I had a quiet hope that the arrival of Peter Capaldi would inspire writers to up their games; it's proved right so far. |

| They're afraid that if they write a bad episode, he'll go Malcolm Tucker on their writing. |

| Although I only had half an eye on it (so close to beating FF2 on my phone it's not true), In The Forest Of The Night looked good. Some solid sci-fi concepts involved, which Who has been lacking in recent years in favour of gloopy fantasy.
Next week looks like it might be interesting. |

| I had both eyes on it, and both of them wish they'd been looking at something else. Maudlin, tedious, lots of children (although Mave was well acted), deeply unrealistic tiger. Don't bring that author back for the next season please.
I will agree, though, that the next episode looks interesting. About time we had a good two-parter. Although I'm sick of the villainess before she's even properly appeared. |

| Just watched it myself and my goodness have I been bored. Worst episode in the series? If it isn't than it's a close second (to the first). |

| I didn't hate it but, Yeh, that was pretty dull. Who thought it was a good idea to end a doctor who episode with everything being fine and there not having been any danger all along? |

| Now that was Doctor Who. Creepy, weird and kept me guessing. My only complaint was that the Cyber men angle was splastered all over the next time previews and the magazines and all sorts. The hints and the reveal were done really well. |

| Agreed: a good start to the finale. I'd inadvertently spoiled myself about some of it on Twitter ( ) but the highest compliment I can pay Dark Water is that it felt like a Russell T. Davies series finale (a bit too much so, perhaps). |

| I'm not sure how I feel about it, it felt a bit too much like a build up to not much, likely because of their spoiling from the week before. Also I didn't really like the way they handled Danny at the start of the episode, felt kinda rushed. |

| I'm not sure how I felt about this one. I guess that I'll need to see next week's to give a verdict. I'm just glad that we've got a two-parter: without wanting too many, and thus becoming as overblown as RTD's work, the odd one, especially as a finale, is nice. |

| Yup, the only one - and as you say, if you're going to have one such in a season, make it the finale. |

| As a veteran of Classic Who, I'd love for there to be at least one more two-parter per series. There used to be cliffhangers most weeks and I miss them. |
