| Rebranded thread, eh? Good.
The episode was great - almost as if they'd been building to it ever since the show came back. It was good fun and I enjoyed it thoroughly, but there were a few too many callbacks for it to be truly great. |

| Watched it last night, this was my 1st who episode in ages but talking to that girl at work got me really psyched for this. And it was great, I will be watching who again from now on. Also Clara |

| I don't think we need spoiler tags, Jay. I avoided this thread until I could watch it this morning, and I imagine that most people will do the same. - ZeroJones wrote:

You know, I disagree. I thought this was really superb. And talk about a plot twist with the planet! (Although I'm still not sure whether I like it or not.) I presume that the events with Rassilon and the Master happened towards the end of the war, but prior to this? Piper surprised me, in the best possible way. I thought we were going to have another return of Rose, and I'm very glad we didn't. Best part, though? Capaldi's eyes. Although I had a horrible moment when I thought it was him speaking, when it was really Baker. I don't want him to do a Tennant and go for RP: let's have a proper Scots doctor! |

| Yeah, this was great. Properly got excited with this: Still didn't compare to TOM BLOODY BAKER POPPING UP. |

| That was really really good- Kinda clears up the whole "where the hell do all these daleks keep coming from?!" thing too which is helpful. The appearance of TOM BLOODY BAKER was brilliant too!! |

| A great episode, it petty much had everything that makes Doctor Who so great and dialed it up to twelve. The only sad part is this is the second last time I'll be sitting down in the evening to watch the latest Matt smith episode, ah well, all good things come to an end and a strong end it's shaping up to be. |

| I'm sad to see Smith go, but it won't be as sad a farewell as Tennant's was. That callback to "I don't want to go" last night really tugged at the heartstrings. |

| I found Tennant's farewell overwrought and unconvincing. In particular, how awful regeneration was meant to be. He can still go back and talk to the same people if he wants, he has the same memories. It's not death, so they should stop pretending it is. |

| It is death though - a personality death at least. He has the same memories, but he might feel disdain towards them. He's a different person but with the same body. |

| He's never shown disdain towards any of his memories in the show, to my knowledge. Of course, the fact that I was long sick of Tennant before his departure might contribute towards my cynicism. He was good in this episode, though! |

| I was more sick of Russell T Davies running the show by that point - everything had grown too shlocky and full of unnecessary bombast. I'd gladly have taken a Moffat series with Tennant as his Doctor. |

You know, I disagree. I thought this was really superb. For my money there were a couple of moments where great dramatic moments from the Tenth Doctor's tenure (yes!) were replayed for laughs, and that undermined it for me. It's a tiny criticism on the back of gigantic woolly mammoth of brilliance, invention and verve, though. I was as close to thoroughly enjoying it as I have been for a few years. Half an amoeba's hair away. |

| I was pleasantly surprised with this episode. After the last series I was wondering if it'd ever bring me back around but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hopefully it continues. |

| So is Clara going to be gallivanting about with Capaldi come regeneration time? I've not bought into the Eleven/Clara companionship as much as the Ponds. |

| I watched it in the cinema - Cineworld put on a little performance with the fourth Doctor, some Daleks, Cybermen and Davros before the show. They also offered everyone a Jelly Baby on the way in.
The episode itself was brilliant. Although there was a collective groan when the regeneration cut away. |

| Yeah. I don't see why he couldn't swallow his ego for a brief cameo during the regeneration. Just a quick "fantastic" and he can leave. |

| Thank goodness. Bit of a rubbish episode, apart from that. Who is the nun? Why should we care? And the Time Lords are here... but they aren't. They're there. What? Nonsense. |

| I enjoyed it, all told. Dismissing the Silence as priests was naff and could have been left alone, but the whole siege aspect with different baddies coming down to kill the Doctor was an interesting premise.
Smith's farewell wasn't as emotional as Tennant's until Amy Pond returned. Deary me, I miss her. |

| It was an alright episode in the end.. The first stage of the regeneration was a bit much and then when the time came it was that quick. |
