What I've seen of Spark it does seem to be on the Fantasy side. but there's a xbox live marketplace coming soon. So wouldn't be surprise to see Sci Fi expansion pack for £20 or something.

It does sound horrible but if this is what I think it is which is a F2P title MS needs to get it's money back some how which seems to be in game currency but you can get through actually playing and creating.

I really do hate the recent trend of games that are barely a year old getting redone for ps4/XO, this does not sell me on the consoles one bit, where are the new experiences?

I agree - especially when you can pick up the redone games at a much lower cost on the previous platform.

Cashing in on the lack of backwards compatibility? Anyway, seeing CVG's people splurging all over TLoU for the PS4 and then criticising Nintendo for repetition is quite funny, in a sad way.

It's a terrible way of encouraging people to upgrade from PS3 to PS4 - granted, it might sway people who didn't own a PS3, but it's not going to do anything for people who owned the previous console. Hell, there's still new releases for the PS3 anyway!

I thought that games being cross gen was holding them back enough, rereleases this early in the consoles life are getting ridiculous. I hope, but doubt, this is the last one...

Even if I wasn't a late adopter of the ps3 I still think I'd be unmoved on wether to upgrade to ps4, remember when everyone was saying they weren't ready to give up their ps3/360s just yet? The hype has totally swallowed them up.

Not sure if that's real or not.

I've got a few thoughts on the whole re-release things.

We know there's a few 360 owners who have jumped to the PS4, so they would of missed classic like TLoU and now can play them.

It's nice Sony in this case are trying have BC in someway be it this or Now, MS aren't doing anything but have they even got anything to re bring out.

And there's a few other definitive edition I would like to see myself from a few publishers such as Bioshock Infinite also some older titles such as Heavy Rain.

But I think pricing could be a issue as take the HD games on PS3 there cheaper then a New release, if this is like that but if it's full price does seem a bit of cash crab.

I think it's such a waste of resources to port over a game as recent as The Last of Us or Bioshock Infinite.

I would think TLoU would take more resources then Bioshock due to it being on PC.

I disagree with this. I think that it's easy enough to get the story from a Let's Play (it's what I've done with the Dangan Ronpa series), but I don't think there's anything like the sort of immersion in the world that would result in playing the game oneself; meaning that things like the aesthetics, music, and general ambience would have much less of an effect.

Actually, this puts Andy's loathing of Journey in a more understandable light, since the game is (from what I understand) entirely ambience and no gameplay. If he is/you are not as affected by ambience, then it's obvious why he/you hate(s) it so much.

Yeah, I agree with that. Case in point - I watched the entirety of Kid Icarus: Uprising on YouTube, but when I get a 3DS (likely as a post-exams treat for myself!) I'll still pick it up, because I know it'll be a different experience playing it than watching it.

I didn't really think about that actually. The world of NNK was actually the thing I enjoyed about it the most I just don't think I realised the impact it had. There are certainly some worlds that I get more immersed in than others, so I think the world has to make me want to care. I love universes like Mass Effect or Fallout because there's a lot of depth and history. I'll often go as far as listening to all the audio logs and reading the journals. Journey definitely doesn't provide a world that I want to get involved in with a lack of any story, lore or game play.

I think we're approaching the same thing from completely different angles.  

Let's use Metroid Prime as an example. Obviously you had the scannables, the lore, the history all written down for you, where (assuming you didn't miss the opportunity forever) you could read all about the world. And that's the world you know about. On the other hand, even without those scannables and history, there would have still been a world there, crumbling and empty. The aesthetics, the changing environments, the enemies, the music, would have built up a world anyway. And that's the world you feel - a more abstract concept, yet probably more important for me.

It was that "feeling" world that I meant you couldn't really get involved in through Let's Plays: you have to experience it for yourself. And from what I understand, Journey has that, even though it lacks the story and lore. On the other hand, I could read somebody else's transcript of the scannables from MP and have all the experience they give in-game.

I suppose it's tough for me to totally see where you're coming from because I cannot see any appeal in Journey what so ever, not even objectively. There's also the fact I don't get much out of Let's Plays because I find myself getting annoyed because people don't play the game the way I would, plus I'd rather just play the game myself, so I've never really seen the appeal in them either.  

Yeah your understanding of Journey is pretty much bang on Balla but also agree with Andy on the let's play.

A Spanish website has list the Last of Us for PS4 coming June, called the complete edition for €65 with a collectable bag which looks a bit like Ellie's.



I know this could be in the the news section, but as we started talking about it here for I'd bring it up. So looks like it happening.

Deep Silver are also bring Metro Redux which contains both titles & all there DLC to the PS4, Xbone & PC.

These remakes really do my bloody head in, so pointless.

I did bring why I put in here, I think he'll understand.

And Jas there not remakes there re-releases, I wouldn't mind remakes like with RE:Make or Twin Snakes but these games coming are just a bit shinier and with added DLC. I know some re-releases have had quite a bit work on them like SM64DS, OoT3D, WWHD, Halo etc but the Majority haven't.
