| A random gaming thought that Mas will enjoy - I'm... I'm enjoying a Sonic game. I'm currently playing Sonic Generations and whilst initially I was loathing it - Mega Drive Sonic stages, looking at you - now the game's really finding its groove. The City Escape and Speed Highway levels were absolute treats to play. Do they come from the 3D Sonic games? If so, maybe I just don't like the Mega Drive Sonics. I think the platforming-heavy levels in Sonic are pretty miserable, but those two levels mentioned above were all about running fast, dodging obstacles and finding shortcuts through the level with the occasional bit of light platforming and it worked well. |

City Escape and Speed Highway are from the two 3D Sonic Adventure games right enough. If you're into a Sonic that's about running fast, dodging obstacles and finding shortcuts rather than the platforming itself, I urge you to seek out Sonic Rush and Sonic Rush Adventure on DS, and either of the Sonic Colours (Wii and DS) games - I think you'd really like them. |

| Generations' City Escape (Act 1- the 2D level) is one of my favourite platform game levels ever. |

Aye, after I'd finished that one I was pretty damn blown away, considering I hadn't been having the best of times with Generations up till then. |

What others have said those come from Sonic Adventure & Adventure 2 from IMO the greatest gaming system of all time the Dreamcast, they did get enhanced ports on the Cube and then on Xbox Live & PSN maybe PC aswell. There the best of the 3D Sonic's but that's not saying much compared to the 2D ones and why you are liking those levels is why I like the Mega Drive Sonics and why there still the best. Thought Daisy ruled Sarasaland. Also why is peach and daisy the only humans from her actual kingdoms where's everyone else. Been to GAME today, talking to them Wii U is doing well for them at the moment best it's ever done since launch. Started talking about E3 and momentum, what else is coming with them going SMASH. That's all everyone thinks is coming and not much else, so hoping E3 changes that as all I'm seeing is positive for the U, so more positives would be great. Looking at the Financial Report this is what's coming Smash Bros Winter 2014 Bayonetta 2 2014 Hyrule Warriors 2014 A brand new title developed by MONOLITH SOFTWARE INC so X then 2014 Yarn Yoshi TBD SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI X FIRE EMBLEM TBD The Legend of Zelda TBD I'm hoping after E3 the schedule might look like this July: Wii Sports Club Retail August: Nothing September: Hyrule Warriors October: Bayonetta 2 November: Sonic Boom December: Smash Wii U, it's the only winter month Can't see X coming this year, but that still looks a strong line up. What do you guys think off that. |

Based on my experience with the Mega Drive Sonic games and most of the Act 1 Generations levels so far, I just don't get on with the classic Sonic games. There's something really jarring to me about going really quickly before stopping to a near standstill to do some fiddly platforming. Not my cup of tea. - The_Jaster wrote:

Another endorsement - really looks like I ought to play Sonic Rush. |

| Thinking on what Cappa has said about Mario Kart on Wii U. Couldn't the U have almost all of the games from any Nintendo series as at the moment you've got NES, SNES, GBA & soon DS on it's VC. There's Wii mode which of course gives you backwards compatibility for that and you can access that VC still (I think), so even if N64 is way off on the U it could still be got some how. So all we really need is GameCube VC. |

| Did SNES Mario Kart make it to VC? I seem to remember it couldn't be on because the emulator couldn't do Mode 7 or something? |

| Didn't really know where to put this, so... found out yesterday that Lost Kingdoms, that very early Gamecube RPG that I bought but never finished (think it was my third game after Luigi's Mansion and Burnout) was developed by From Software. Huh.
Any of you Souls crew ever play it? It's not comparable in any way (I don't think) so I was surprised when I found out it was by the same company. |

The name is familiar but I've never played it, looking down their games list on wikipedia shows that its quite varied, from a third person mech shooter in Armoured core to Kuri Kuri mix a "kids" action adventure game. |

| Something that I've never seen anyone mention about Xenoblade Chronicles: the utterly hilarious names for items and some monsters.
I'll try not to spoil anything for those of you that haven't played it. Basically, Shulk had a vision of something bad happening to someone and so the group are wandering around an ancient tomb to find the victim and save them. What was slightly jarring was that a lot of the items I picked up turned out to be "Tasty Sausages".
Similarly there was a sidequest whereby a townsperson was panicky because of a nearby powerful monster, so they asked me to take it out. "It's called Flabbergasted Jerome!"
BAHAHA WHAT |

| I loved those names! One of my favourites, encountered quite near the start of the game, was Immovable Gonzalez. |

| Anyone else miss instruction manuals? Vita games seem to not have any whatsoever and the 3ds just has those really lame pamphlets and it's getting me a little down seeing them come to an end. |

| So like last year but slightly early I've done my Top 10 most anticipated games for the PS4 AKA I like Indies.
There will be a Xbox One was the hardest to do had 8 easy picks, Wii U which includes something you wouldn't think off and Multi-Format Top 11 as I couldn't quite narrow it down to 10.
Of course this could all change after gamsecom and/or TGS as let's say Last Guardian is shown it would go right to Number 1 PS4 game , that's if it is a PS4 game now. But how long do you wait to list's like this.
Also what's your most anticipated games for the PS4, ONE, Wii U & Multi Format. There's no 3DS or VITA due to them being harder to find video for.
And all games are things we know of as we know there's a Gears of War 4 but nothing has been shown for example. |
