| So, the Vita. Not many owners around these parts, but there are a few of us. Great little handheld in my opinion which I really enjoy every time I play on it, although the memory cards really do need to be a lot cheaper. I thoroughly enjoyed Uncharted which I actually completed & at the moment I'm having a little play with Katamari. |

| The current long-term forecast for the Vita is depressing at best, but as for the actual hardware, it's a wonderful piece of kit with a handful of gems in its slight collection. Also, the system has been responsible for me falling in love with several PSone classics I never originally gave the time of day. Crash Bandicoot FTW! |

| Agreed, it's a great bit of kit, just a shame Sony are in a catch-22 situation with software support at the moment. At least 3DS's popularity in Japan has ensured it's ensured a wave of interesting Japanese releases, but Vita hasn't taken off in that region (with PSP's continued strength).
As Stu mentioned the handful of gems in its software library make it a system worth checking out and owning - plenty of import curios on the system too at current.
I'm just annoyed at Sony for not putting their weight behind the system - it's like they aren't even interested in it anymore. Hopefully they can redeem themselves this year. |

| Bought Super Monkey Ball for £7.98 from Zavvi. Couldn't resist at that price. |

| I haven't been on my Vita playing actual Vita software this much since last summer, and what a way to celebrate Vita's birthday.
Been playing DJ Max Technika Tune, Project Diva F and (tomorrow) Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus and Phantasy Star Online 2 - phwoar! |

| I downloaded Uncharted and gravity rush for free with the PS+ but haven't touched it since then, I think I won't until I get the One Piece game |

| Persona 4 Golden is brilliant. Haven't put my Vita down during lunch breaks this week at all.
Also: has anyone besides Double F tried Dokuro now that it's on PSN?
spork: is PSO Online 2 a PSN purchase?

| I gave Dokuro a go this weekend and it's quite a charming puzzler, though to get the most out of it (in terms of raging less than I) you probably need to get set in its rules and ways. The princess is extremely thick and set to continuously walk to the right in the absence of danger which can lead to a lot of trouble.
phantasy star online 2 is only available on the Japanese PS Store for now sadly, though there is a retail version available to import (which contains some in-game goodies too) if you're interested. Probably best to obtain it that way as the game will eat up a lot of memory card space. I had a quick go on it over the weekend and it's pretty neat as a port (haven't spent enough time on it to actually talk about the game), surprisingly well implemented as an MMORPG on Vita (keyboard chat works great for example) and it all runs at 60fps.
annoyingly to my knowledge SEGA have yet to confirm a western release of the Vita version but there is a community of English players over at ship 2 if anyone else wants to join in!
Spent most of this weekend playing Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus. Cough. |

| Anyone know what the Vita update was for this week? I updated mine last night, and I can never be bothered to read the blurb. |

| This week's Vita game... is a bit surprising. Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.
Although parts of the game have been ported terribly, such as the 30fps frame cap and questionable ingame resolution, for a freebie you can hardly complain. Pretty glad I held off from buying it when it was first released!
Also the new update only addresses a few security and stability issues. Basically a hotfix. |

| It's never happened before, but mine froze the other week. Any stability improvements are therefore welcome. |

| So, anyone getting Soul Sacrifice? I only had a stab at the Japanese demo last Christmas, but if it turns out to be good then I might be picking it up...
But the next game on my "to get" list would have to be Guacamelee. Or PhotoKano Kiss, which had me laughing when I'd use every opportunity to take terrible photographs and not play the game 'properly' in the demo. |

| Guacamelee has me pretty tempted, right now I'm rather excited by Thomas Was Alone that's coming out today (free for PS+ too!) and I've ony just got Sly 4 so that's taking up a fair bit of time. |

| I've tried Spelunky on PC before, it seemed alright so I'm tempted by a Vita version. Just got Stealth Inc on + though so that'll be my indie fix for the next while. Plus I'm working through Muramasa which I'm loving! |

| I'm liking the music best so far. I've only got the demo, granted, but I'm finding the running controls a bit slippery.
I'm looking forward to the PAL release of Muramasa (it apparently now has one!). I wish they'd get their bums in gear with the Binding of Isaac retrofit, too. |

| Good to see they've finally got a date for it. As for Binding of Isaac I wouldn't hold too much hope for it. It's not too bad but I was disappointed. I bought an indie bundle for it and enjoyed every other game better I hope there's a demo for it though. |

| Have they made Muramasa any prettier? Shouldn't be tough on that screen. |

| Seen you can get Vita cheap on GAME'S site at the moment with a promo code, tempted but to me the Vita is still a really expensive PS4 accessory. So hoping it will continue to drop in price, before i pick one up. |

| I hate that Sony is going down the PS4 companion route. It's a great little system that has the potential to shine as brightly as the 3DS in the right hands. |

| For me to buy one for playing it and not as a companion for PS4. It needs more compelling software. |
