| Hm, really? In that case, yes, I think it sounds great, especially the transforming vehicle. Never too sure about gyro controls, though. |

| Chris Scullion also mentioned there being a starfox logo on the cameras, so I think that much is definitely legit. I quite like the idea of having all the quirky reimaginings on the same disk as a solid, traditional sf campaign, so long as we get a good dose of the space shooting goodness. |

| Not yet sure where I sit with the idea of multiple gameplay mechanics. On the one hand, experimentation is a good thing; on the other, I am just craving more on-rails Star Fox lunacy. Lylat Wars is older than a good portion of the students I've taught this year, after all. |

| I'm just going to assume they've learned their lesson with Assault in terms of shoe-horn-age. By which I mean I'm ignoring all the above reports that suggest the contrary. |

| So this is out next year: can't wait!
I remember Miyamoto mentioning he was looking for a developer to take it on now it's past the planning stages (or along those lines), wonder who it could be.
I was thinking Namco or Platinum Games as candidates, but then I remembered Q Games. Shame it's not in-house, as Star Fox 64 is still by far the best game in the series. I'm hoping it's in good hands though. Also: not Namco's. |

| It was more a joke about Fronky's Zzzmash attitude. I'm much more open to an on rails shooter after the amazing KI:U so I'll keep my eye on this, even if it isn't an eye that is expecting to see a gem. |

| Smazzzzzzzh Brozzz I'd forgotten about Treasure! That'd be pretty amazing. Nintendo can handle the branching paths and outcomes a la Star Fox 64, Treasure can focus on making amazing levels and combat. |

| It'll be Arzest. Look out for Starfox on Wii U to look and play the same as Starfox on SNES.
Or, more likely, to look and play the same as Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. |

| If they decide it needs a co-developer and they don't go with platinum, I'd have to question the sanity of everyone involved. |

| As long as it features plenty of on-rails shooting action, it doesn't matter to me which co-developer takes it on. All good thoughts so far, with the notable exception of Arzest. |

| This might sound a bit silly but can starfox be just a on rails shooter flying sim thing, I know that's what the star fox series is to many people but they've all been short.
I know there's multipliable roots etc but still only ads so much that I'm not sure even how good it is that I'd pay £40 day one for it. |

| A full retail release the size of Star Fox 64 would be frowned upon, yes. That means you would need at least three campaigns of that length. If not more. |

| And would you play a 8hr just of on rail shooter, as that seems awful long time of just on rails shooting. |

| Shigsy talks gameplay changing and stories staying the same. I have a mini-rant on this subject to make, in another place: but it's a good thing in my book. |

| As long as it plays well and is exciting, I don't give a monkey's about the storyline. The thrill of a shooter is in the, er, what was it again? |

| I'm not sure where I read it, but Miyamoto also confirmed that the GamePad screen will show a cockpit view, which sounds amazing. I'm guessing it was the iJustine interview or something.
As for story, I like Miyamoto's approach. Make a compelling game first, then fit a story around it. For this, I'm more interested in whether there are branching routes you can take to the end like in Star Fox 64, depending on what happens. It was also cool that if you lost Slippy you wouldn't get boss health information. |

| Aye the cockpit view was in the iJustine interview, a tad concerned about the "TV will show a more cinematic view" comment though. |

| I've changed the title for Jimbob. Shigsy confirmed that Platinum was working on this after the Direct.
In the Direct, well, it was the only megaton shown, wasn't it? Hope it being a "re-imagining" of SF64 doesn't mean the original's paucity of levels. |

| Aye this did look brilliant and given how Splatoon's motion controls work I am not worried one bit about the gyro controls. |
