When I seen the walker I instantly thought Raptor rather than chicken.

No, sir - it charges right into battle, with no fear whatsoever!

I'm a bit late, but I did get to go hands-on with this a few weekends ago.
I found the controls to work a treat, though the cockpit stuff didn't really have much value outside of all-range mode. So you'll mostly be moving the GamePad and looking at the TV, and then in all-range mode holding up that GamePad screen to aim at all the stuff around you.
Losing some of the mechanics from Star Fox 64 does feel a bit strange, though, like the ability to lock on and take out several foes at once. I suppose the idea is you're mean to be accurate this time round, but it feels like you're missing another way to approach things here.
I was delighted to find this game follows the same two-tier stage clear system. I only got a "MISSION COMPLETE" after the boss, but if I'd destroyed it from the inside I'd have gotten a "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED".
I'm excited then, but a bit surprised we haven't seen any more of it from Gamescom. The game's out pretty soon, after all.

After a couple of varying opinions on this, it's good to read your more confident one, Fronk. Changes like the lock-on are things I think we'll get used to, but we shouldn't complain just because the control system is a bit new for us.

Falco is by far the best groomed of them all. And then there's peppy who clearly hasn't washed since Lylat Wars.

Why do they all have the quad-force on their belts? Ganondorf confirmed for the end boss.

Slippy is wearing a perilously small hat this time.
I'd wager he gets sun burnt quite easily, but that he demands the others to coat him with lotion. He's not even trying to hide it.

I feel like this whenever they reboot Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles - these guys look new and flashy, but I somehow still prefer the originals.

Let's be fair here. Fox McCloud was awfully polygonal way back when.
Still looks pretty good for an N64 character, though, I'll admit.
I... actually prefer his n64 look. It has a really nice charm to it. Plus I'm not a huge fan of the overly furry redos in this lot, not that I mind them having proper fur, but I feel they overdid it and Smash is a better representation.
