amiibo

Treasure Tracker is supposed to have Amiibo right? Because I'd love a Captain Toad one, would be incredibly adorable.

Yeah Toad does but not in till a update in the new year, I'm guessing costumes like mario kart.

I was thinking about putting this in the predictions thread but as it's more of a wish than an actual prediction, it goes in here.

We need games where we play as our amiibi.

DIGRESSION ALERT: NintendoLife reckons the plural is 'amiibo'. They obviously don't know about this forum!

The appeal just isn't the same. Could you imagine taking to a platformer or RPG (or whatever - these characters could do many things) as whichever amiibo you have? Brilliant. If this isn't coming from Nintendo, they will have missed a (ghost) trick, in my opinion.

I'm sure that I've posted an idea for a SSBRPG before, where you play as amiibi. It seems like a bit of a money-squeezer, and would make me want to buy ALL OF THE FIGURES, though, so I'm probably better off without it!

A amiibo game would be nice but Nintendo has said they don't want it to be forced or you need them to have a full game. Still something like Mario Party 10 you have the normal roster of characters but if you own Link you can play as him in it or a extra mini game based on the zelda universe. So you would still have the full game but the amiibo would add extra.

But saying that I still think Mario Party 10 will come out with the first set that isn't SMASH.

The only other thing is some sort of miiverse plaza playstation home thing but you use your amiibo.

I'd totally take a Mario/Nintendo RPG where your party is whatever amiibo you scan into the game.

And that's fair enough but they could make the amiibo appeal rocket through the roof if they made one. Perhaps, in this mystical amiibo game, you would be able to start with Miis instead, so that everyone could play it? Right, that's it - I'm ringing Nintendo.

Dangerous, isn't it? Nintendo will have to manage the production and release of new amiibi very carefully, for my money. I won't be picking up any particular character again, regardless of how many versions there are.

Those words may be eaten later, though.

There's a good reason for it as if you use SMASH Mario with Mario Party 10, your SMASH Data will be wiped.

I don't know what saves to the amiibo from MP10 as it looked like amiibo just unlocks stuff like with Kart but nope.

I did see that happening though, I thought we would get a range for Mario Party which the ones coming are really in all but name , I think if they were called the Mario Party 10 range it would of been slightly more clearly that this amiibo is for this and this one is that.

I still don't see the point of Amiibos, I really don't. I picked up a Pikachu one when I got Smash 3DS, purely because I love Pikachu. But as for gameplay implementation, I highly doubt I'll get it. They're just not created with a consistent, well-implemented concept that the Skylanders have.

The best thing for me is I'm getting figures of loads of my fave ninty characters that nobody else would bother to make. Who the hell else would make an Ike figure?

Looks more like cosplay Mega Man to me, though.

I'm hoping FE characters for CODE is just unlocks like the weapons in HW and not something the save stuffs but they could do due to the RPG elements in CODE that they could level up.

That's what I hope with Mario Party saves is stats and items etc is what is the saved stuff.

I was keeping up I've got Wave 1&2 but from now on with to many (expensive) games in Feb & March, it's going to be hard to buy all of them. So now I'm just picking up likes of Lucina and ones that do lots like Toad.

At least those Super Mario amiibo also work with smash and I'm assuming other games too.

The same goes for Shulk also despite the kerfuffle over them you are getting a good quality figure for ten quid or so & a nice wee in game bonus on top of that.
