Really sad news. I've heard that by all accounts he was a genuinely lovely bloke and a real loss to ICW and the UK wrestling scene as a whole - RIP Lionheart.

This link should work https://twitter.com/masofdas/status/1144690634378420224?s=19 to get you the Fite App and $10 credit, then follow Fite on twitter via your app profile to get $2 which gets you $12 which will buy you AEW Fyter Fest.

I had enough credit to watch it - maybe from buying All In? - so I got it free of charge essentially.
The show was... okay. There was nothing mind-blowing to the degree of DoN. Moxley's match was great although I preferred his match against Juice Robinson in NJPW. The preshow was deathly dull and that Cody chairshot shouldn't have happened in 2019. The six man tag match was a bit too much of a spotfest for my liking too. Maybe it's because I'm feeling sick and grouchy, but I didn't rate Fyter Fest highly at all.

I really enjoyed it, thought tag match on pre-show was excellent, the other two matches were fine what they were but the one was better I think if you watch BTE.
Main card, was really good, just no great matches but it's only the second show and I guess B level PPV.
Hey still better than any WWE PPV, I've seen since Mania

The G1 has kicked off! It was a fantastic opener in Dallas which I recommend checking out if you're fancying some wrestling. I'd say you'll get the best value out of signing up to NJPW World for the next two months as that'll get you the entire G1 which has a MOTY candidate on every show.

Kim Justice's mini-documentary on Mitsuharu Misawa's final years in Pro Wrestling Noah is well worth your time, with loads of highlights of matches and a (sad) story that's brilliantly told.
Absolutely one the very best wrestlers I've ever seen.

I'll stick that on the watch list, cheers!
I've not had a huge amount of exposure to the Japanese greats from that time period like Misawa, Kawada and Kobashi. I think the only match I've seen with one of those three was Samoa Joe vs Kobashi from ROH like 15 years ago.

It was a pretty solid show, all told. I thought the highlight of the night was the cracking in-ring debut of Bray Wyatt's new Fiend persona. That mask is top notch and they presented him in a perfectly creepy light. Top work.
In more personally exciting news, the card for NJPW's Royal Quest in London was announced and I'm chuffed to bits that I'm getting to see Minoru Suzuki in a title match against Okada and also see Ishii face off against KENTA. And that's made doubly do after KENTA's incredible heel turn at the G1 final:

That's the post match run in - wee boot to Okada, chuck him in the corner for the Sausage Roll and then out to raucous cheers to Like a Prayer.

Can't wait for the ol' WWE on Sky 1 censorship job of cutting away during the chairshots.
I'm hoping AEW put out a good show tonight - having some competition should make WWE fire on all cylinders and end up being good all round for wrestling fans.

I gave that NWA Power a watch last night & it was quite good, a nice and simple classic hour long show that made everything seem important and was actually building towards something.

I did watch that but after Dark, so was a tad jarring with the production.

Yeah the small TV studio does take getting used to but I'm sure once their PPV's roll around they'll feel more special because of how that weekly show is presented.

NWA Powerrr was great. The feel, the presentation, the squash matches, the segments and the promos were put together really well, and it made for a very easy, uncomplicated watch.
I can see me making the time to follow this each week. Plus, big Trevor Murdoch is coming into it as well, and he'd definitely be on my Boy Stable.

I've certainly added it into my week
Tues RAW highlights Wed Dark and Powerr Thur Dynamite (maybe watch live seeing I pay for it) and NXT Highlights Sat Smackdown Highlights
I'd like to fit Impact in as it does have some good matches and talent at the moment but I just don't think I can find the time unless I see people go you need to watch Sami v Tessa.
NJPW is just the big shows for me now.

Sounds like I'll need to give NWA Powerrr a wee look - worth an hour of my time, I'd say.
Going to lock this thread as we're coming up on the 1000 post mark and make the next wrestling thread so in the words of Stone Cold Steve Austin on his award-winning podcast, I'll catch your asses down the road.
