| Good news indeed though when I seen someone on twitter say "it's about time" I was intrigued to know how old he is, so I checked.......he's 37 which means he isn't going to have a whole lot of time to make an impact in WWE.
---
Also we still doing this Royal Rumble draw? |

| Can he still wrestle in to his late 40's - early 50's like Goldust, R-Truth, Undertaker, HHH, Kane, Sting, Kurt Angle, Tommy Dreamer though, which is tricky but I reckon they'll get a good 3 years out of him at least.
I hope so as that's always fun, I thought Mr J was sorting it out. |

Also we still doing this Royal Rumble draw? Austin was in his late 30s when he was really heating up, so I never put too much thought into age. Also, shit, totally forgot about the draw. Right, who's in? I'll do it tomorrow and draw numbers. I'm assuming you two, me, Drunka, Cappa, Muss, gjones, Smurf. Not sure if I'll do a prize this year, but it's always a laugh drawing numbers in any case. |

| Yeah a draw sounds like a laugh.
With regards to the wrestler's age thing it's going to vary greatly between in ring style and gimmick.
Golddust can absolutely still go, but his act is kind of a timeless and suits a wily vet perfectly. He doesn't have to go high risk, he doesn't need outrageous strength, just solid in-ring psychology. His cardio has always been pretty good too so that helps.
Haven't seen Aries go so I don't know how long he could last if he wanted to keep going forever. My worry is that the WWE will just give up on him now, time will tell. |

Aye it's certainly nothing like football or other sports, I was just thinking that he could be in NXT for more than a year or 2 & not get the chance to shine properly on the main roster because of his age. - Muss wrote:

Absolutely! A wrestler that can learn to adapt their style over the years can make their age a non issue but for every Goldust you have a Big show ruining it. |

| Alright lads. Just spent a bit of time drawing numbers for this - I used wheeldecide.com and plugged in 1 to 30 there and took turns drawing until we ran out of numbers. Most of us got 4 numbers, but there weren't enough numbers to go round for everyone to get 4, so the lads who drew 1 and 30 only ended up with 3. Click below to reveal your haul... - Spoiler:
JayMoyles: 7, 15, 18, 28
Drunkalilly: 1, 6, 22
Masofdas: 2, 3, 16, 27
Muss: 5, 9, 19, 26
The Cappucino Kid: 10, 20, 23, 24
The_Jaster: 4, 14, 30
gjones: 11, 12, 17, 25
Treesmurf: 8, 13, 21, 29

| This is probably the least excited I've ever been for a Rumble match. Last year's match was the wrestling equivilent of a funeral; it was a dismal, depressing experience.
Three bad Rumbles in a row would be a killer, and ruin the entire event's reputation IMO.

Cheers for putting us in the draw, Jay! |

| - Royal Rumble & what I think will happen at Mania:
The first match was pretty great between Owens & Dean along with most of the card , but there was few botches I noticed during the night but the worst had to be Kalisto with what ever he was attempting.
The actual royal rumble
Which I may marked out a little when this happened, I hoped he would of lasted a bit longer maybe should of been switched with Y2J but now that AJ is in WWE, I wonder what there going to do with him as has to be automatically one of the top faces but can't see him in the WHC picture right away.
Maybe with Sami also being in the Rumble, could he get a call up sooner then later to the main roster and we have a repeat of last year with a ladder match for IC title between Sami, AJ, Owens, Dean, Y2J and someone else maybe Dolph would rather great.
I think were getting Bray v Brock, making Bray the new Big Show as he can't win at Mania.
Charlotte v Sasha seems a certainty now as well, along with HHH v Roman but will be interesting to see what the main event is at Fastlane though maybe there's not a clean finish between the two at Fastlane then we get a Hell in a Cell match or something at Mania.
I've got no idea about Undertaker or Sting (if fit) on who they may wrestle or the other possible 4 matches.

Kalisto was trying that sunset flip powerbomb but hey mistakes happen and it didn't take away from a very good match, though it was hard to care because of how quickly the title has changed hands recently.

I thought AJ had a solid showing & having him keep trying to hit the styles clash but people just escaping it made it instantly feel big and dangerous.

On your mania matches Bray vs Brock seems definite which I'm super excited for as does Charlotte vs Banks (maybe add in Becky) if Sami is to stay in NXT a little longer I'd pull the trigger on an AJ styles and Kevin Owens feud.
---- - My Rumble thoughts:
I really enjoyed the PPV overall and the rumble match itself was better than previous years, I was really on the edge of my seat when it looked like Reigns and HHH were going to be eliminated at the same time along with a few other close calls, what I didn't like is the fact that HHH won it purely to keep the Authority angle going.
If they want to keep that going (which they clearly do) then why not just let a younger wrestler slot into the position that Seth Rollins had previously? Dean Ambrose would be perfect for this and him vs Reigns is a damn more exciting prospect than Reigns vs HHH. I can only hope that the upcoming PPVs before WM change the landscape (main event) a bit.
Also I won the GNamer rumble draw. Yaaaaay? |

| - The Rumbley Woos:
Wow, what a way to make up for last year! A bunch of great lower card matches, with the last man standing match being legit match of the year quality in my book.
I'm surprised they went with a Kalisto victory. I like him, but I thought they'd make Alberto look stronger and as if his prior loss was a momentary blip. Hopefully they don't make Kalisto look like pish moving forward now that they've given him the title again.
The New Day were great as always
As for the rumble, it was good. Styles arriving was huge and they made him look pretty good. I loved the Miz's tactics too.
I'm not sold on a Brock - Bray feud, not because I don't think it will be good - it will - but because I'm worried that Bray will lose at Mania and then be in booking limbo as he was last year post-Undertaker.
I was actually really hoping that Bray would win the Rumble. Having the authority trying to deal with getting the title back from him and Roman separately would have been interesting.
But instead we got the rather predictable ending, which is still ok-ish but could have been much more interesting if Dean had turned heel as Jaster said.
I liked that the pre-show was a play-in match for the rumble. As I've said before, I really like the idea of highlighting underutilised guys in the pre-show and giving them a shot on the main show. That said, I am disappointed they made Swagger and Henry look like chumps in the match itself, I would have liked at least one of them to have done something. If they were always going to book the pre-show guys like that in this Rumble, then Sandow should have at least had a go in the ring, the crowd were massively into him.

NOSTRADAMUS IS HERE TO SHOW THE WORLD. So the Rumble: I liked it a lot! Such a huge step up from last year's event - great undercard matches, some promising feuds in the future and THAT debut... top stuff. I'm excited for Mania. |

| Really good Rumble event. It was a little odd seeing skinny Triple H win it though (and not the jacked up prime Triple H). Speaking of the older guys, The Rock's segment on Raw was incredible. It was like a ton of promo stacked on top of each other, and most of it must have been adlibbed surely. I do love The Rock, but bringing him back each year is getting a bit tiresome (as is announcing a star is returning - way to take edge off of a return). |

| I am really gutted that Daniel Bryan won't be coming back and being all anyone cares about in every match ever. I am so upset I won't be hearing "yes! Yes! Yes" instead of any interesting character work. I am going to cry myself to sleep because I'll never see another match where he does that same little arm twist he always starts with.

Without @WWEDanielBryan, many of the performers you love in @WWENXT & @WWE would never have been hired. He broke down barriers for us all. |
