| Discussion of Smash release dates is probably better in here, given that it's the one game. Not sure that a week makes much difference either way, but I do have to pre-order the damn thing at some point. If it's out on the 28th, I'll be on holiday, so will have/want to walk into GAME. Who wants another Miiverse round-up? Sakurai's being funny this week... - Monday (Costumes):
Sakurai illustrates how all (but one) of Shulk's costumes riff on his teammates, which Lucina's costumes riff on FEA's female characters. No Tharja costume, though...
- Tuesday (Mode Information... Sort Of):
But why would you want to?
- Wednesday (Mode Information):
It's Classic, Jim, but not as we know it. You can see the stages underneath the characters, so you can avoid 75m or whatever. Shift over to whichever battle you want to join. Be warned: the longer you leave your Rival, the stronger they'll become. The losing fighters then blast off (again), and you can choose those you've scuppered to join your team where appropriate.
- Thurday (Er...):
"Your finger stinks!" ... "It is bitter, yet tasty." .............
- Friday (Stage Builder):
Already looking better to fight on than The Great Cave Offensive.

| I'm sure they will have a way to prevent that in place, not normally one for stage builders in games but since this allows you draw a stage I'm looking forward to what I can create. |

| Apologies for the delay! But it's a good-looking week. - Monday (Menus):
Looks "sparkly", apparently.
- Tuesday (Visual Touches):
A couple of shots from Classic Mode. The Fiend's Scale looks like "falling into the underworld", while the background for the trophy table gets more ominous on higher intensities.
- Wednesday (Events):
In "Jackpot Opportunity", beat the seven bells (bells, Animal Crossing, gettit?) out of your opponents to raise 1000 coins to pay of your mortgage. While "It's Past Your Bedtime" demands the Jigglypuff put all its foes to sleep at once.
- Thursday (New Stage):
Isn't it cute? The mobiles move and tilt according to fighter weights, and the ground disappears at times.
- Friday (New Stage):
Wuhu Island seems to be a "slideshow stage". Sakurai's also been "dreaming about tropical islands". Among other things, I'm sure.

| I must have missed it the first time around. Haven't seen the video: don't think I want to. The commentary is good enough. - Monday (Classic):
Play Classic in co-op. and the Master Core will be stronger as a result. You can't take on the disgusting-looking Master Fortress with two of you, though.
- Tuesday (Stage Details):
The Temple looks prettier this time around, and will still be absolute murder on the eyes when zoomed out. In a nice touch, that's "Smash Brothers" in Wind Waker Hylian.
- Wednesday (New Stage):
Mario Circuit flipping upside down in the background is purely cosmetic, right? Wrong. Shy Guys on the ceiling!
- Thursday (Videos):
You can watch all of the Smash videos, including the little ones you unlock at the end of the one-player modes.
- Friday (Smash Tour):
"...just try playing this mode three times with your friends." Right now, Sakurai, it's looking like I'll be board after time one. Three boards. Sakurai also says, "If you turn on the Custom Fighters option, the fighters will be preset with custom special moves. The number on a fighter's portrait on the game board indicates which custom move set that fighter is using--this also adds to the randomness of this mode." I don't use custom fighters, so eh.

| See I like the idea of CO-OP as I could use one my main amiibo to do CO-OP with me. |

| Well there's a surprise. 9/10s all over the shop. - Monday (Fun):
"Intensify your activity by dodging a rampaging car."
- Tuesday (Stadium Games):
Play in coop or takey-turny style. The order is randomised each time for the latter.
- Wednesday (Masterpieces):
Ninty tries to get you to buy more of their old games. Some are unlockable.
- Thursday (Linking):
Dull screen, but this is how you combine the two games. And this is what it looks like on 3DS.
- Friday (Controls):
Not fun, but necessary. Also the game was released in the States today.
Dull week. The most interesting (perhaps upsetting?) news is that there is no paid DLC in development. Lots of people are upset about this (I want my Rhythm Heaven characters ), but Sakurai makes a good point about including things that should be in the initial release, in the initial release. Take note, Camelot. BUT, the Mewtwo DLC is described as an "experiment" (how appropriate) "meant to act as a foothold in content distribution". So they're looking at how to release new DLC. I wouldn't rule it out, therefore, especially after MK8: it'll just take a while, as it probably should do.

| I like the masterpieces demos being in there as it allowed you to see where the characters started (on the rare chance you didn't know) & how far they have come since then, even though now it looks like "buy our VC games" it's really an innocent feature that only adds to the celebration of Nintendo that we all know smash bros is. |

| I guess that if they really wanted you to buy their games, they'd have left Zelda II out. |

| That "your Mii and one amiibo" setup they had in the advert looked really nice but I'll probably never have four people who are keen on the same sofa. |

| Sakurai talks Ridley. Needless to say, I'm not buying any of it. And frankly, the Ridley in-game doesn't look convincing anyway. What's up with its head? |
