| Pretty much what Drunka said, gambling aside. It wouldn't be a problem if there was the odd fanservice female among better female characters (and similar numbers of fanservice men), but until that day comes, every female fanservice character is a black mark on the game. And I feel that the same applies to anime, actually. And Konami are particularly bad. I mean, in general, but also with this. That "erotic violence" pachinko machine: it was noticeable that the men were all fully clothed. |

| You'd have to ask a straight lady/gay gent (or those in between) to make sure, but I suspect that neither of those two count. What we're talking is somebody with an improbably perfect face and torso, stripped down to the waist at least. And some sign of being as well-endowed in his way as Quiet is in hers. Oh, and the camera lingers on his arse/crotch. |

| One is naked at one point in MGS2, the other is a bisexual who is pretty great as a character. I know there not exactly what you were saying but Kojima has done more then the sexy female character.
And I've got a feeling that camera lingers on his arse/crotch happens in MGS3. |

| Kojima does get his male characters' clothes off quite a bit, to be fair. He also deliberately made Snake have a better arse than Raiden in MGS2 and designed Raiden with the female gaze on mind. In fact, until now I'd argue that he'd been quite even handed. It's just that with V, Quiet is the only deliberately sexy character and the camera lingers like crazy. |

| Quick interjection (sorry I can't contribute to MGSV but I am reeeeallly tempted to pick it up): Affordable Space Adventures: Genius. My only criticism is I don't know if I'm alone in not having the hand-eye co-ordination to reliably tap a certain part of the gamepad while watching the screen to make sure I'm exactly between two obstacles before altering the anti-gravity settings from 2 to 4. But the atmosphere is fantastic - almost pure Nifflas, in its gloomy isolation and minimalist soundtrack, but with the occasional Portal-esque dark humour. Miiverse bit at the end (no spoilers) is neat as well. Wish there was a bit more. But there will be! Hey metacritic, my score is 8/9! The Story of Thor / Beyond Oasis [i](Megadrive via PS3)/[i]: S'alright. It's a Zelda-lite-lite-lite, with a weird side-scrolling-beat-em-up combat system. The idea of conjuring allies to get past puzzles is a neat one, and is worth re-exploring in a new game. The combat doesn't really work though (having said that, I don't get why you guys love e.g. Streets of Rage). I cared about the characters though, which happes much less in today's cutscene/voice-acted era. Er... 6/8. |

But Zero's review said it all really that the quality of its worth the price. |

| Fair enough, Phantom Pain and Affordable Space Adventures might be quality, but are they better than Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure on the GameCube?!? The answer is: yes. I'll say it boldly so that there's no doubt in anyone's mind: Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is a better video game than Universal Studios Theme Park Adventure. What an absolute clanger this is. It's a shallow minigame collection before they were all the rage on Wii, and a very dodgy one to boot. The concept for the game isn't actually that bad - you go round a theme park, meet people and go on the rides, like you would at the actual theme park. But the map is complete wank, and you're told that you're not allowed to any of the attractions until you've picked up enough litter. Fuck me! Litter! About 90% of your time is spent fannying about this utter disaster of a map, and your reward is about fifteen minutes worth of really tame, really lightweight minigames. Acht. This is what 50p buys you, but still... This is pure tedium. 2/10. |

Wasn't this a Gamecube launch title? Imagine opening that one on launch. You'd be put off Nintendo for life. |

| It's like a psychological horror film, with about the same runtime. I'm glad I played it - and there are some brilliantly clever puzzles - but it is not for everyone. The actual player input necessary to complete the game is minimal - think Terrifying Tengami. |

| Year walk and device 6 are like more advanced text adventure games that take advantage of the system they happen to be on, that's one reason I really enjoy them as they are great little stories that can leave a lot to your imagination. |

| I'd always wanted to play Dancing Stage Mario Mix on the GameCube, and couldn't believe my luck when I found it in a charity shop yesterday. To be honest, there were times when I contemplated paying big money to get it. Having played it now, however, I'm glad that I didn't. I'm quite ambivalent about it. While it was entertaining enough, it's got a lot going against it. The ridiculous lack of difficulty is bad, but what hurts this game is the soundtrack; it just isn't up to the standard of the other Mario remix songs that we've heard in Super Mario Galaxy, New Super Mario Bros and countless others. Still, it's meant to be cheerful, lightweight, throwaway fun, and it's just that. 6/10. |
